I start a project from collecting all the data for a particular and clear target then transfering to not only the delicate external design but also considering user’s need and marketing strategy.

01. Brief Immersive designed ice shaver.

Reverse the impression of the ice shaver from a cheap product to user-friendly and high-end classic design.

02. Market Analyze Every Summer, the temperature in asia is too high to breath.

The cilmate makes the ice shaver become a vital product in their daily lifes.

Because of the climate, we mainly focus on asia as target area. In order to develop a high level home appliance ,we choose our top priority market as Japan ,China ,then Taiwn, Tailand, Malaysia.

03. Idea sketch Light style and struction rebuild.

Light Style From the beginning, I wanted to make design lighter by reduce the visual volum to break the old image of ice shaver : Heavy, Toy-liked looking.

05. Prototype test After the final design are determinded, I strarted to build the prototype to test.

1 Place the container into body.

2 Put the ice cube inside.

Assemble the motor set upto the container.

3 Rotate to adjust the scale you want.

03. Idea Growing There two possible ways to solve the auto-blend issue:

Picture Recognize. with Could calculate.

- Needs an app and need to connect all the time.

- Unstable result causes chop food are not easy to recognize form camera.

- High cost.

- Detect the concentration of the juice all the time.

- Stable result.

-Reasonable cost.

04. Idea Sketch To fit with AI smart system, I tried several ways to emphasise the image of high technology.

From curve shape to geometry shape, finally I chose to focus on the interface design rather than external form.

Because its easier uer experience is the most important part, I took Apple/Dyson/MI and many modern products as my reference to creat a feeling of smart home appliance.

01. Brief Transform prosthetic Fin is a new swimming prosthesis that helps below amputees easily move between land and water.

02. Idea growing At first we wanted to design something that make physically challenged person’s life better.

We tracked the reason and thought maybe we could avoid the accident.

With online researching, occupational injuries and bad eating habits are the most dangerous causes.

However, there were so many designers dedicated themselves to solve how will this happen so we were like to change our direction a little bit. Meanwhile, there’re also many possibility about prosthetic after we realize how they lives with visiting the patients in hospital. So we chose ot face the inconvenience and beat it.

After a lot of discussing and researching, we have concluded several main target issue about prosthetic such as ” prosthetic for children” “ the training of walking with prosthetic” “ the inconvenience on carrying different prosthetics for multiply activities ”

Prosthesis for children This kind of situation is familiar in the war zone like middle east and Afica. Cause there’re abundant mines underground, kids are easily losing their legs by accidently walking though.

Children’s leg length changes a lot as they grow up, but so far the choices they have are keeping changing prosthetic or getting used to live with one leg. However most of families there could not afford the cost.

It s in convenient to carry many prosthesises at one time.

We collected different types of prosthetics for preventing from water. It is divided into two types:

Training session The most destress problem is that it’s hard and painful while learning walking again. Not knowing how to learn, just try and fall again and again.

The pain from the stress to the recovering leg is also a big issue to be solved.

Multiply activities In order to do some activities they need more than walking such as climbing, running, swimming and skiing, threre are still a lot of sports they want to do.

However, it’s not only inconvenient at carrying but also being a trouble while they do something else: Imagine that they need to change the walking one and equip the other at the place alone.

04. Scenario

Jump into water without supporting by prosthetic.

Not knowing where to put the prosthetic.

Feel embarrassed if someone staring at them while removing their prosthetic.

After we decided to focus on the prosthetic for aquatic environment, we asked our volunteer for a short interview. He told us that how he gets into the water right now and the embarrassed situation.

Amputees will first remove their prosthetic. Then while supporting themselves with their other leg, will jump into the pool and have a swim.

In order to protect the prosthetic form being damaged by water, it is kept at a safe place from pool.

05. Idea sketch The first idea was came formtransfroming. We wanted to combine two functions: walking and swimming into one prosthetic.

Thus, the most important partis the foot palm. It needs to overcome the sand from being stock and try not to be the resistance while swimming.

In order to enhance the comfort and the form, this time we consider about the stocket and the transforming structure more.

Besides, we emphasis the asymmetry from the front view cause we want it looks very different from the ordinarily one.

06. Feature After taking advices from patients and physicans, I designed a brand new type of fin. With the old advantages, I find the shirtage from the interviews and change it.

1. Cleanable A major concern for prosthetics users is reomveing sand and other debris than might get lodged in prosthetics after engaging in water related activites.

Different from the normal prosthetic, Fin is designed to be disassembly for storing and cleaning.

2.Removable

The main trunk and joins need to be manually fastenedtogether. The remaining parts use latches to make disassembly easier.

Customizing special parts of prosthetic for encouraging users to get rid of the stereotype and be themselves.

3. Transformable

The major feature of our product is its swimming mode. I designed this prosthetic to be transformed with a simple tapping motion of the feet.

With the strong magnet at Achilles' heel, this prosthetic to be transformed with a simple tapping motion of the feet.

07. Prototype test

The fundation of Fin is making amputees life better through a simple change. After analyizing their needs and discuing with not only users but also physicans and professors, we made our mind and determinded to simplify the prosthetic.

01. Brief Theme hotel amentites design Lumi+ was a style-design project during my internship. The cooperation wanted their amentites to have a unique and specified style to fit the special rooms.

02. Idea growing Light is one of the most improtant element all over the world, full of mystery and unpredictable.

This ligh themed hotel needs its amentites perfect connected to the theme. So we clear the relation bewteen this two: Hotel and amentites. One is the main and the other is the sidekick.

03. Idea sketch First of all, I analyze the image when people talk about the light. The bubble map started from light, and the connection words are transparent, translucent, reflect, penetrate and shadow.

I choose two topics to start my sketch: shadow and penetrate. The key works from shadow is Black & white, coexist and twin; And the key words for penetrate is UV and Anti-physical.

When it goes to light, there must be shadows, the opposite and the twin to the light just like the relationship between hotal and amentites: coexist and respond to each other.

With ligh and you can see.

The final design I choose the one with transparent film logo on the white and clean box. Normally it’s invisable until users turn on the light or move the box. This special reaction represent the relation between the hotel and amentites: Light and Shdow.

01. Brief New type of the old soul.

Vivo means alive in Latin. Comesfrom the old memory about the toys we have played in our childhood: The growing chrismas tree.

02. Idea Growing When I was young, it was easy to see such kind of product called ” papper chrismas trees” in bookstore. After discussing with friends for a while, I found out there were no other topic except plants. I thought it a pity that this “ growing” idea was only presenting by the flourishing of plants.

Core Value Different from the product design, this project is more about the value. We wanted to awaken the child in our deep mind, not only selling a product but also taking you to the past.

The core value we want are experiencing the old time but still having something speical to fresh your mind and getting confidence after building and taking care of it by yourself.

03. Prototype test In addition to the core value, the most important part was experiment. We never realized how hard it is to make the paper to absorb the liquid perfectly.

We had been tested about dozen kinds of paper, and finally found one could be the material of Vivo. And this kind of paper was so rare that the factory only accepted the order over twenty kilogram.

In the other hand, we also tested the differet effects between different paint and different shape we cut.

Hobby My favorite activity after work is 3D modeling. I like to challenge myself to find the beauty from every observing of daily life and transfrom them to enforce my aesthetic literacy.
