We specialise in creating bespoke culinary experiences, tailored to your taste and preferences, and aim to do so in an environmentally sustainable way. We believe the future of our food system is plant-based, and we let our food do the talking!

The Loading Bay Café is part of 4Motion CIC; a profit for purpose social enterprise set up to make a positive impact on people and the planet. Our work goes beyond food and has led us overseas to varied communities, but it is this experience that ignited our passion for recreating global flavours in the food we serve today.

In 2020, we turned 100% plant-based, in the knowledge that we can better serve our mission by addressing the impact our food choices have on individual health and our shared environment. We are proud to be on this journey and are further inspired by the movement of world class chefs, such as Alexis Gauthier & Daniel Hume, towards fully plant-based menus.

We want to show you that plant-based food can be exciting, vibrant and nourishing! With plants at the heart of our plates, we continue to develop our reputation for delivering delicious, flavourful dishes and cater for a wide array of events that engage with and support our local community.

TEAM

Co-Director Dean has been managing and < 4Motion coordinating educational events, workshops and

projects for over 18 years. He is an experienced Theatre Director and creative collaborator. His eye for innovation and passion for bringing people together through food, the arts and community has lead him to pioneer the development of the Loading Bay over recent years. Dean has toured the globe delivering programmes for young people, soaking up inspiration from other cultures and continues to collaborate with other creatives.

Chris is our talented and experienced plant-based chef. He qualified as a Vegan Natural Chef at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, and is passionate about helping others to use food to prevent chronic health conditions. He is also a qualified secondary school geography teacher and utilises this knowledge to provide insight into global cuisines and environmental sustainability.

CORPORATE LUNCHES We have 2 different packages available to suit varying budget requirements; Tier 1: Basic - Combination of hot dishes (curries /stews) & sharer platters (e.g. loaded flatbreads, sandwiches, salads) Tier 2: Exclusive - More bespoke menu choices that require speciality ingredients / more time to prepare by hand.
