It comprises 7 faculties; Education and Research Institute for Postgraduate Training of KhNMU; College of Medicine; Research Institute of Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Diseases; Scientific-Practical Medical Centre; University Dental Centre; Centre for Preclinical and Clinical Research, Centre for Gender Education, Centre for Minimally Invasive Technologies and Cardiovascular Surgery. The University is currently training about 7,000 students; among them, more than 3,000 are representatives of 82 nations of the world. • Pre-university training (foundation studies): - Preparatory Department, 1-year course of studies. • Undergraduate training is given in the following specialties: - General Medicine, 6 years of studies; - Dentistry, 5 years of studies. The curriculum provides two stages of the undergraduate training of a doctor: preclinical and clinical. The structure of the curriculum is aimed at the observation of logic sequence of subjects teaching, which are organized in the following training courses: humanities and socioeconomic sciences; natural sciences; professional courses. Languages of instruction: Ukrainian, Russian, English. The graduates are awarded the degree of specialist in General Medicine or Dentistry and are qualified as Physicians or Dentists with the title of “Doctor of Medicine”. • Postgraduate training: - clinical postgraduate course (residency) lasting 2-4 years; - postgraduate course with an opportunity to defend a thesis competing for a scientific degree, the term of training is 3 years. The international students are fully provided with comfortable hostels, medical care, catering points and sports facilities.
