4-H Judging Judging is an important life skill, which teaches the process of evaluation and how to identify important characteristics that can improve quality in an item or animal. If your club has never attended a judging competition, no problem! Your Regional 4-H Specialist can present a Judging workshop for your club or your club members can attend judging workshops. Many of the Regional 4-H Judging Competitions have a judging clinic or workshop for younger members or beginners to judging. Regional judging competitions select only the top eight senior members to be Regional Judging Teams. Most judging competitions also combine a judging clinic for younger members. You do not need to be in a livestock project to participate. Here are the dates for upcoming Regional 4-H Judging competitions: • Swift Current Regional Judging – June 27 • Weyburn Regional 4-H Judging – July 1 • Prairieland Park Regional 4-H Judging – July 6

Staff Challenges Make sure to pay attention to the 4-H Saskatchewan social media, as some days there might be random challenges popping up. Make sure to compete, as there will be prizes for individuals and clubs!

We are excited to have a booth again this year at Agribition November 25-30, 2019 in Regina. For the last two years, we’ve been in the International Trade Centre, close to the barns. We are hoping to bring a new exciting contest for 4-H members to take part in this year! Last year, we had 4-H’ers find some of our sponsor booths and get stamps on their passports to get a prize. We hope to see all of you there!

May/June Springing To Achievement It’s spring and with the new season comes Achievement Days! We want to see what your club does at Achievement Day, from showing cattle to presenting a display. Share your stories and videos on social media, using the hashtag #4hskachievementday. Don’t forget to check the Monthly Update and social media for other special challenges! Some months may have some exciting opportunities for your club to get involved.
