Where do you live? Woodbury, MN; A suburb of the Twin Cities How long have you worked for 3M? Over 30 years

What have you felt most proud of accomplishing? From a personal standpoint it’s the raising of my children into outstanding young adults. They are wonderful and I admire and appreciate them every day. From a work perspective, I try and make a meaningful difference in all my roles. For me this means striving to leave the organization in a better place than when I entered it. I’ve been lucky to have a wide variety of interesting roles including product development, sales/marketing, six sigma, and digital marketing. When I was in product development, I was most proud of developing patented adhesive technologies to improve productivity for our customers. In my business roles, I was most proud of developing new business models to better serve our customers and grow revenue. What is your hidden talent? People say that I am allergic to the status quo and that is true. My hidden talent is being open to change and being progressive in approach. Tell us about your family, who you live with? We have a blended family comprising my lovely wife, Jane, and 4 children.

What things do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Exercise (running, hiking, core), travel, cooking, gardening, reading, family time and listening to music. What is your favorite place to visit and why? Tokyo. Great food and culture. Would you Rather – winter or summer for the rest of your life and why? Given a choice, I pick summer because it is most conducive to my favorite outdoor activities. That said, I love all four seasons!

If money was no issue at all, what would you buy? A tropical beach home large enough for all the family plus friends. Please share with us your favorite joke. I don’t have a favorite joke, but I do like many of the ones told by the comedian Jeff Foxsworthy.
