Weekly Report and Newsletter - 12th November J36 Rural Auction Centre: November Online Machinery Sale The Monthly Collective Machinery Sale saw over 1500 lots entered with a wide range of items on offer and selling well. Tractors this month sold to £5600 for a Massey Ferguson 165, with a David Brown 885 selling at £4000, an Massey Ferguson 550 achieved £3300 and a David Brown 880 sold at £1250. Other agricultural items saw a 22ft low loader trailer sell for £4200, Kverneland 4ft plough £2000, auger feed bucket £1550, West Rural Spreader £1300 and Parmiter post knocker £900.

Livestock equipment saw an Ifor Williams livestock trailer sell at £1900, 12ft cattle trailer reaching £1100, cattle crush at £840, creep feeder £600, sheep trimming stand £380 and lamb scales at £360. Others items of interest included a Barford dumper selling at £2900, Ford Fiesta van £2500, Logic salt spreader £1400, pallets of sandstone £300, pallets of slate £280 and 400 gallon water troughs £240.

Lancaster Auction Mart: Sale of Prime Lambs and Cast Sheep - Monday 8th November 2021 PRIME LAMBS Lancaster had a large entry of 809 prime lambs forward this week, selling to an improved overall market average of 261p/kg or £115.80. Well fleshed fed lambs demanded a premium today and were eagerly bid for. It was a consignment of heavy weight lambs from RT Owen, Bold that led the way selling Texels to £170 twice, £166 and £156. Other heavy weight Texels sold to £161 from S&J France, Over Wyresdale. Followed by the consignment from KA Purtill, Wigan selling Texels to £154 and £148. Also breaking the £150 barrier at £151 was TR Prickett, Hutton Roof. Heavy weight Charollais lambs sold to a top of £140 from M Archer & Son, Bolton Le Sands, with heavy weight Suffolks also peaking at £140 from GF&EE Holt, Chipping, who also sold other pens to £137. Beltex lambs peaked at £137 from S Wilson & Son, Scotforth. Lancasters busy ring of butcher buyers ensured better quality lambs regularly sold in excess of 300p/kg mark. Beltex lambs topped at 330p/kg from Ian Richardson, Catforth.
