Weekly Report and Newsletter - 8th April 2022 J36 Rural Auction Centre: April Online Machinery Sale Popular Machinery Sale Attracts International Interest The monthly online collective sale of tractors, vehicles, machinery and equipment once again saw wide interest with over 400 successful buyers and several lots once again going over the water to both Ireland and Europe. One of the star lots of this sale achieving £24,400 was one of the last produced New Holland TM120 4WD tractors, direct off a local farm and showing 5500 hours, another rare barn find was a Massey Ferguson 35 in original condition selling at £2800. A case 888 tracked digger achieved £8000 with a selection of vehicles selling to £3700 for a Ford Ranger pick-up. Well maintained equipment and machinery continues to sell to a premium with a very clean McHale high speed wrapper selling at £12,400, an 8 tone Marsden tipping trailer £4100, twin axel dump trailer £3600, Kuhn power harrow £3500, Primex tanker £3400, Protech post knocker £2600, 6m Opico harrows £2600. Other items of interest included an Ifor Williams horse trailer selling at £4500, rear discharge spreader £3900, Ifor Williams 12 foot livestock trailer £3400, John Deer mower £2100, Kuhn single rota rake £1150, mounted chain harrows £1150, ride on mower £1150, caravan £700 and land roller £600. The next collective sale at North West Auctions J36 will include a special section for all classes of vintage tools, machinery and equipment. Delivery of items will strictly be Tuesday 3rd May and Wednesday 4th May with the sale commencing on Friday 6th May. There will be no facilities for inside items at this sale.

Lancaster Auction Mart: Weekly Sale of Prime Hoggs, Cast Sheep & Sheep with Lambs at Foot, Monday 4th April 2022 Prime Hoggs It was great to have more hoggs on offer this morning, with 703 forward which were met by a ring of more enthusiastic buyers today whom seem a lot keener than previous weeks to purchase prime hoggs. The overall market average today was 255p/kg with once again handy weights in the most demand and averaging 265p/kg, heavy weight hoggs today also sold to an increased trade. Today saw plenty of pens of good confirmation handy weighted hoggs selling in excess of the 300p/kg. Leading the way at 330p/kg was 43kg Beltexs selling to £142 from Niyah Johnston, Bay Horse. This was followed by other Beltexs to 326p/kg or £140 from Andrew Butler, Hambleton. Topping the market today at £150 was a 47kg Beltex hogg from Kevin Purtill, Wigan.
