317 Main Partnership Program Impact Report 2017-18

Increasing access to music education is an integral part of 317 Main’s mission to help build a robust, inclusive, creative community. Through our Partnership Program, we collaborate with schools and nonprofits in greater Portland, Maine, to provide programs at no cost to students and families, specifically targeting underserved populations. 2017-18 was the program’s 8th year, made possible though generous donations from foundations and individual donors, as well as cost sharing with our partners.

2017-18 Partners: Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine: Riverton & Sagamore Village Clubhouses LearningWorks: Riverton Elementary School Portland Public Library

“Now that we launched this violin program, parents are inquiring about their children’s music education for the first time. That never really happened before.” —Dan Nogar, Dean of Students and Music Teacher, East End Community School
