hat if the solutions were actually there?

Right there in front of us. Since always.

And what if the obstacles only existed in our eyes? And what if it were enough for us to look at the world differently? Each detour is a chance to take a new road. Each failure, a chance to reinvent oneself. We enter an era of action and everywhere our hands find material to be modelled.

Nothing is holding us back any longer. The world is a possibility. We thought we were stumbling, when we were actually learning to walk. It was winter and we no longer believed in spring. Here comes the time of buds. Never was any time so fertile.

The future is uncertain and it is the most beautiful thing that could ever have happened to us.

lato would be proud. We are finally leaving our cave. The shadows have disappeared and we are bathed in light. The world is an endless field of flowers. A vertigo of possibilities. Smells, colors… a tornado of feelings. The mind no longer follows; the heart is overwhelmed. The body takes its own decisions. It bathes in Spring. Humanity has fought its revolution, concluded its cycle. The end has done its time, it’s time for a beginning.

A new story. Centuries of white pages before us.

No rule, no barrier. Just bend down and pick. Pick the moment, of course, but the future especially.

Because tomorrow is a door we are opening today.

laton serait fier. Nous sortons enfin de notre caverne. Les ombres ont disparu et nous sommes noyés de lumière. Le monde est un champ de fleurs infini. Un vertige de possibles. Les odeurs, les couleurs... Une tornade de sensations.

L’esprit ne suit plus, le cœur est débordé. Le corps prend ses propres décisions. Il se baigne dans le renouveau. L’humanité a fait sa révolution, bouclé son cycle. La fin a fait son temps, l’heure est au commencement. Une nouvelle histoire. Des siècles de pages blanches devant nous. Aucune règle, aucune barrière. Il suffit de se baisser pour cueillir.

Cueillir l’instant, bien sûr, mais l’avenir surtout.

Parce que demain est une porte que l’on ouvre aujourd’hui.

Did we refuse to see? There was no need to dream or imagine. To analyze or theorize. It was sufficient to look. The roads of possibilities cross our way each day. Changing the future is as simple as changing sidewalks. And the world urges us to do so. Revolution will happen daily. Because there is nothing more ordinary than changing the world.

Tout cela paraît tellement évident désormais. Étionsnous aveugles ? Ne voulions-nous pas voir ? Il n’y avait pas besoin de rêver ou d’imaginer. D’analyser ou de théoriser. Il suffisait de regarder. Les routes des possibles croisent notre chemin chaque jour.

Changer l’avenir est aussi simple que de changer de trottoir. Et le monde nous y invite. La révolution se fera au quotidien. Parce qu’il n’y a rien de plus ordinaire que de changer le monde.

Attraction/Repulsion. The suburbs fascinate. How can this concentrate of everyday life, urban banality, tarred reality be so attractive? This is the question that Cian Oba-Smith seeks to answer from behind his lens. The suburbs are a non-sanitized ground.

Like the latest original campaigns, they represent a complete universe. A fully inhabited world. A place whose every parcel is exploited, known and integrated. And suddenly, this weave of the obvious takes on fantastic accents.

Attraction/Répulsion.

La banlieue fascine.

Comment ce concentré de quotidien, de banalité urbaine, de réalité goudronnée peut-elle attiser une telle attraction ? C’est à cette question qu’a voulu répondre Cian Oba-Smith derrière son objectif. La banlieue est un terreau non aseptisé. Au même titre que les dernières campagnes originelles, elle représente un univers total. Un monde pleinement habité. Un lieu dont chaque parcelle est exploitée, connue et intégrée. Et soudain, ce tissage d’évidences prend des accents fantastiques.

The daily newspaper has become a miracle. And the fantastic has become common. Icons don’t die, they descend from their throne. Since everything is doable, nothing is essential any more. Gods are no longer our models, but inspirations are.

Companions in daily life. Nothing is sacred any longer when a new world is stretching out its arms on each street corner. No more hierarchy. Anyone can be the creator of his universe. Everyone has the capacity of genesis. At the beginning there was the human being.

The cold is no longer part of this world. The craft industry becomes ground-breaking. The street art of Raquel Rodrigo and her team draws from ancestral know-how and the latest marketing stunt. Her weaving connects the teams and people. Going beyond set frames, she creates a new universe, instinctively understood by everyone. In the mix of creativity embracing our time, there is a certain alchemy approaching a universal language.

La froideur n’est plus de ce monde. L’artisanat devient avant-garde. Le street art de Raquel Rodrigo et son équipe puise dans les savoir-faire ancestraux et dans le stunt marketing le plus moderne. Son tissage relie les équipes et les gens. Explosant les cadres établis, elle crée un nouvel univers dont chacun comprend instinctivement les propos.

Dans le cocktail de créativité qui embrasse notre époque, il y a une certaine alchimie qui s’approche d’un langage universel.

Le quotidien est devenu une merveille. Et le fantastique est devenu commun. Les icônes ne meurent pas, elles descendent de leur trône.

Puisque tout est réalisable, plus rien ne s’impose.

Inspiration is everywhere in the air. A detail, a banality, are enough to build. A dash of creation.

Almost irrepressible. Simple. One plays, one diverts, one modifies. The world is a game without rules. Our environment is modelling clay. No great theories. No schools of thought. Each person acts in the moment. Desire is law. We missed warmth so much that spontaneity is a whiff of oxygen.

Tomorrow, our instinct could well be our best guide.

Existence is a current against which we have fought too much. Science is a poetry which we were unaware of, only because we were not its authors. The melody of life is an equation. It is time to act from the heart.

More than a map, it is actually a photograph of identity of our own personalities taking shape. Our emotions, our fears, our desires, everything that defines us is visible in our cranium. The magic of life could be a simple electrical current in our neurons.

Francesca Bonesio and Nicolas Guiraud are fascinated by Anthropocene. Our contemporary time for the geologists, characterized by the impact of man on his environment. The Italian architect and the French photographer draw conclusions from them. Today, places are marked by human features. Space and time become sociological. Even spiritual. Both artists underline this in order to make us face our own reality, while maintaining some leeway for imagination.

Francesca Bonesio et Nicolas Guiraud sont fascinés par l’anthropocène. Notre époque contemporaine pour les géologues, caractérisée par l’impact de l’homme sur son environnement. L’architecte italienne et le photographe français en tirent les conséquences. Aujourd’hui, les lieux sont marqués par des caractéristiques humaines. L’espace et le temps deviennent sociologiques. Voire spirituels. Les deux artistes le soulignent pour nous mettre face à notre propre réalité, tout en maintenant une marge de manœuvre pour que travaille l’imagination.

Francesca Bonesio and Nicolas Guiraud are fascinated by Anthropocene. Our contemporary time for the geologists, characterized by the impact of man on his environment. The Italian architect and the French photographer draw conclusions from them. Today, places are marked by human features. Space and time become sociological. Even spiritual. Both artists underline this in order to make us face our own reality, while maintaining some leeway for imagination.

Time is not human and our humility finally accepts this.

Patience is wisdom. A refuge in the face of frenzy.

The little melody of the pessimists has penetrated everywhere. We were told that it was too late, to often. In this nihilist time, we discovered true freedom. No more rules, no more hierarchy. Since there is no more obligation, everything becomes possible. It is in the face of the end, that one really starts to live. An uncontrollable wave ripples.

Humanity quivers from opportunity. Creation is permanent, omnipresent. Unprecedented.

The paintings are drawn outside their frames.

Excitement is too strong to take limits. Desire is our only legitimacy. And if this messy creation gave birth to a perennial future? And if anarchy were the only law of the universe?

La petite mélodie des pessimistes s’est insinuée partout. On nous a trop répété qu’il était trop tard. Dans cette époque nihiliste, nous avons découvert la véritable liberté. Plus de règles, plus de hiérarchie. Puisqu’il n’y a plus d’obligation, tout devient possible. C’est face à la fin qu’on commence vraiment à vivre. Une onde incontrôlable se propage.

To accompany more than to restrict. From these artificial limits a new work of art will be born.

Called to swell. To blossom. Everyone chooses the size of the canvas on which he wants to paint.

Some will project their colors before their feet, others on the whole world. It doesn’t matter.

Since there are no more rules.
