Comic Art Storytelling workshop with Alan Nolan Learn how to create exciting comic art and draw interesting characters to feature in your own comic stories, with Alan Nolan, creator of the ‘Big Break Detectives’ graphic novel series from O’Brien press and the popular ‘Butternut and Kronk’ strip from the Irish Times. Early Registration is advised as places are limited.

Pop Up workshop with Maeve Clancy Learn the fine art of pop up with artist Maeve Clancy. Participants will create their own story and character designs, which will be translated into a pop up page. Paper engineering, design and construction are all covered in this short intense workshop. Each child leaves with their own pop up page and a handout to bring home. Early Registration is advised as places are limited.

Beastly Drawings workshop with Chris Judge Hear Chris read from one of his books and learn how to draw the Lonely Beast! Chris Judge is an illustrator and children’s picture book author from Dublin. His first book The Lonely Beast won the Specsavers Irish Children’s Book of the Year 2011 in Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards with his second book The Great Explorer published in 2012. Chris’s new book, The Brave Beast, was published on the th of March, which see his Beast character conquer his fears in an all-new adventure. Early Registration is advised as places are limited.

Drawing Zombies with Uproar Comics Learn how to draw all types of Zombies with the Uproar Comics team, the awardwinning writers and artists behind the hit Zombie comic set in Derry - ‘Zombies Hi’. Early Registration is advised as places are limited.

How to Draw Star Wars characters with top comic artist Will Sliney

Laura Howell is a super talented comic writer/artist and is famous for being the first female artist to have worked for the Beano. Laura has also worked for the Dandy as well as countless other top comics. She will giving plenty of great hints and tips during this fun session, as she teaches how to create quality cartoons and comic strips.

Will Sliney is a true comics superstar! He was the regular artist on ‘Star Wars: the Clone Wars’ and was recently signed up by the mighty Marvel Comics, to work on Fearless Defenders! He created the hit graphic novel ‘Celtic Warrior: the Legend of Cú Chulainn’ a current Irish TImes bestseller.
