EDITORIAL The idea to start this project was born due to my long work with young and talented people who have not yet been completely discovered; artists, models, photographers, stylists‌ For a long time I wondered what would be the best way to promote these emerging talents? And so after countless cups of coffee in the bar next door, brainstorming and discussing ideas with artists and friends, the only answer was - 2beMAG; a magazine for promoting raw talents, up-and-comers, and fresh new work. The aim of the magazine is to discover brands and talented people who want to exhibit their work. Obviously there are many talents out there that already consider themselves professional, but at the same time dream about publishing their work in a magazine that lets them follow their personal ideas and own creative view. If you are a RAW talent and consider that you should be discovered, we invite you wherever you are to participate in our magazine 2beMAG. Let everybody know who you are. Marco studies photography at the “Istituto Superiore di Fotografia”. But the wish to discover new horizons, together with the strong desire to visit New York, push him to travel overseas and to discover a different world, fascinating to the point that he falls in love with the American style and culture. It was the 60’s in Barcelona, when Andres Sarda decided to create his own feminine lingerie brand.Convinced that feminine lingerie could be delicate, flattering a tempting Sarda searched the softest fabrics, the lightest shapes and the most fascinating colours. The lingerie and bath collections were combined beause, as a creator, he had no limits, he broke all the boundaries and explored new ways that have never been explorer until then by Spanish brand. With Renaissance concepts and revolutionary ideas, Sardá gave women the pleasur of feeling in their intimacy, the sensation of being drapped ub by beautiful and fashion clothes. Years later, his dream lives more than ever, faithful to his project, Andres Sardá also known how to be a teacher and placed in his daughter, Nuria Sardá. The time condensed the essence and nowadays the brand still transmits the affection at the time of making clothes. Faithful to his father’s legacy, Nuria is now an alchemist who, with imagination, merges the most exquisite matters.

VICTORINOS SWISS Industrial designer, Pauline Carlos, has come up with a rather interesting design for a Dell sustainable design contest. The Froot, as it’s called, will do away with your traditional monitor as well as USB keyboard. Instead of having to install a monitor and keyboard, the Froot has 2 projectors, one to project the display on the wall, the second to project a keyboard on the table, for you to type out your status updates to Facebook. The design uses a colorful case that would be made out of biodegradable starch-based polymer. There isn’t any mention of a mouse though, so you might need to get that on your own.

McQueen death shocks fashion world, Gucci Group promises to honour his legacy Gucci Group paid tribute to Lee McQueen (Alexander was his middle name) following his unexpected death on Thursday (WGSN News February 11) but has not yet commented on the future of the Alexander McQueen fashion business in which it owns a 51% stake. The future of the still-growing label remains unclear. McQueen’s death - widely reported as a suicide following the death of his mother a week earlier - has left the fashion world reeling, with industry professionals, friends, associates, influential editors and celebrities all praising his creativity and offbeat approach to fashion. He was due to unveil his latest mainline collection - a major date in the Paris Fashion Week calendar - in a matter of weeks. The question many are asking is about the future of the Alexander McQueen label, its lower-priced McQ stablemate and the array of licenses attached to the McQueen name. The latest womenswear offer from McQ had been scheduled to appear at New York Fashion Week on the day McQueen died. The event was cancelled. Gucci group was still working to establish Alexander McQueen - in which it acquired a controlling stake a decade ago - as a global fashion force. With fewer company-owned stores than some of Gucci’s other labels, wholesale was a key distribution channel in

the face of the luxury downturn. The company moved into profit in 2007. Despite having a lower turnover than its stablemates Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves Saint Laurent, the label was going through a growth phase. It expanded its ecommerce operations after success in the US late last year. McQueen also continued to benefit from celebrity support. His dresses often show up on red carpets and key fashion influencer Lady Gaga is a big fan. On Thursday Gucci Group CEO Robert Polet referred to the brand’s growth potential, when he said that McQueen “had so much more to give”. In an email to The Wall Street Journal, he also said “the legacy he leaves us is a rich one and one that we will cherish and honour”. There were no more details about possible future actions.

www.2bemag.com A spokesperson at the 40-year-old’s headquarters issued a statement on Thursday: “On behalf of Lee McQueen’s family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family. “Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.” A headline-grabber since his 20s, in 1996 he was named head designer at Givenchy, succeeding John Galliano at just 26. He felt frustrated and joined Gucci Group, going on to establish himself as one of the most directional creators in luxury fashion. His death also comes three years after his close friend, muse and stylist Isabella Blow killed herself. Blow is widely acknowledged as the person who turned the designer into an international star. Altuzarra’s third Collection excited with excellent pieces of structured tailoring, inspired by Edward Scissorhands or The Nightmare Before Christmas. He said he “wanted to explore the dichotomies between strength and fragility, modern reality and fairy tales”. Even though his previous collections showed plenty of dresses, he decided to give stores what they want: more tailoring. From Asian mother and French-Basque father Joseph Altuzarra perfectly combines european savoir faire after studying in Paris and work with Riccardo Tisci- with american practicality after working for Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler. French Vogue stated Altuzarra is the one to watch from New York Fashion Week. He have been also compare with culturally-mixed too, Alexander Wang, and Carine Roitfeld and her daughter Julia Restoin-Roitfeld have been spotted wearing Altuzarra designs.
