Project Oleg Kharch Group. Oleg Kharch & Olga Shuvalova comprehend in a common artistic practice an angular question to a person. Who are we? Where did they come from and where are we going?

Part One. “PROTECT THE NATURE – GODDAMN IT”.

61сm x 205 cm, collage, 2017

The concept: -“Ruthless cutting down forests for one-day gain in Ukraine: - In an ironic form, the snails are protesting against the tyranny that takes place in the Carpathians, on the wild amber extraction, and eventually in Kyiv itself. In the present, the Ukrainian local eco system is only conditionally divided by western borders with ecosystems of other European countries. An average citizen of the European Union or, for example, a fully secured Germany, will probably not see this trifle on the monitor of his beautiful "iphone" when he communicates a messenger between his friends. Yes, of course, he heard that there is a lot of climate change in the world. Nature is raging and suffering from the outrageous, already shouting actions of HUMAN on the planet EARTH. German woodworking business earns well on deliveries of allegedly Romanian wood lumber. Almost legally, the forest already like the round wood was send by dealers across the borders of the European Union. All this goes for the sake of money! So is it really that what happens in Ukraine does not have any relation to the inhabitants of Germany, Poland and etc. countries? Who knows! But such small and fragile creatures as snails on this topic should not be silent. Because when there is a general misfortune, its own armor can only delay the death of each one for a moment”.
