Artists Inspire Climate Action with International Competition in NYC August 21, 2018 (New York) - Over 37 international artists are using their art to “make climate personal and practical” in the heart of New York City with the Human Impacts Institute’s (HII) Eighth Annual Creative Climate Awards. An opening party on September 17th opening party at the stunning Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) at 1 East 42nd street in Manhattan will launch a month-long exhibition of climate-inspired performance art, installations, paintings, and films. “We are seeing the devastating impacts of climate change daily--from rampant wildfires in California to record temperatures across the globe to the relocation of an entire Staten Island community due to sea level rise. It’s clear we aren’t doing enough. We need new, creative ways to communicate solutions more effectively to a broader audience,” said Tara DePorte, Human Impacts Institute Founder and Executive Director. “Inspiring people to do more is what the Creative Climate Awards are all about.” DePorte will serve as this year’s opening party MC, bringing a wealth of knowledge as a visual artist and climate communications expert. Part One. “PROTECT THE NATURE – GODDAMN IT”.

The concept: -“Ruthless cutting down forests for one-day gain in Ukraine: - In an ironic form, the snails are protesting against the tyranny that takes place in the Carpathians, on the wild amber extraction, and eventually in Kyiv itself. In the present, the Ukrainian local eco system is only conditionally divided by western borders with ecosystems of other European countries. An average citizen of the European Union or, for example, a fully secured Germany, will probably not see this trifle on the monitor of his beautiful "iphone" when he communicates a messenger between his friends. Yes, of course, he heard that there is a lot of climate change in the world. Nature is raging and suffering from the outrageous, already shouting actions of HUMAN on the planet EARTH. German woodworking business earns well on deliveries of allegedly Romanian wood lumber. Almost legally, the forest already like the round wood was send by dealers across the borders of the European Union. All this goes for the sake of money! So is it really that what happens in Ukraine does not have any relation to the inhabitants of Germany, Poland and etc. countries? Who knows! But such small and fragile creatures as snails on this topic should not be silent. Because when there is a general misfortune, its own armor can only delay the death of each one for a moment”.
