Ellies Essential Blends

Ellie Dominguez, Founder

Ellie's Essential Blends was created in 2020—yes, the first year of the pandemic—by founder Ellie Dominguez, a mother of two sons with ADHD who experienced the true healing power of essential oils. The oils were life changing and she was hooked on the positive benefits from rose geranium, East Indian sandalwood and jasmine sambac. Inspired, Ellie started experimenting and creating more potions and blends, for her, her family and friends. Soon she began having outdoor events, which brought together like-minded, mostly moss, and small business owners focused on wellness and healing. Word of mouth was all she needed to fill her events to capacity. Ellie created her eponymous company with the purpose of supporting women—especially mothers—in their daily lives. She believes that self-care can take on many forms. For her it comes as exercise, meditation, prayer, a hot cup of tea, attending 12-step meetings, and connecting with other women. Essential oils have been a complementary tool to add to her life kit. All hand-selected, and family-tested (they love it), for all to enjoy her essential oil products.

Why did you decide to pursue this line of work?

I was struggling as a mom of two boys with ADHD during the pandemic and I knew I wasn't the only one. I created a tangible tool that can be used on a daily basis to remind others they are not alone.

Who served as an inspiration to you?

My mother, Peggy Sue, who passed away when I was 15. She was a constant advocate for my brother and me and sought help for us when we needed it. She taught me that owning my truth was one of the most important assets in life.

What are your thoughts on growing and expanding your business?

My hope is that my events and blends are able to reach more women int he Bay Area. I enjoy collaborating with local women-owned businesses in the pursuit to help others on their healing journey.
