To our Southeastern Conference family and friends, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! On behalf of my fellow administrators, Pierre Francois and Emmanuel Charles, I welcome you to Haitian Camp 2023 - our first full in-person camp meeting since 2019. Praise the Lord!
The theme for this camp meeting, Grateful Hearts, Renewed Hope, is a call to celebrate and praise God for His unwavering faithfulness in the midst of difficult and challenging times. It acknowledges the difficult and unprecedented events of the last four years (including the pandemic, social injustice, economic crisis, and political polarization), while also emphasizing the hope and renewed strength that comes from trusting in God’s goodness.
We have diligently planned a spirit-filled yet diverse program that includes worship services, seminars, and various recreational activities that cater to all age groups. Each of these services, seminars, and activities have been designed to bring us closer to God and to one another. I encourage you to avail yourself of this unique opportunity to deepen your relationship with our Savior.
It is my prayer that this year’s camp meeting will provide us the opportunity to reflect on and give thanks for the ways in which God has sustained and provided for us through the storms of the past few years. And also, a time to find hope and renewal in God’s promises, especially the promise of the “Blessed Hope - the glorious return of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” Titus 2:13.
Michael K. Agyei Owusu, DMin President“God is our place of safety. He gives us strength. He is always there to help us in times of trouble. The earth may fall apart. The mountains may fall into the middle of the sea. But we will not be afraid. The waters of the sea may roar and foam. The mountains may shake when the waters rise. But we will not be afraid.”
- Psalm 46:1
Rejouissance Spirituelle,

Answering to God’s call to ministry, Pastor Arbentz enrolled in the Adventist University of Haiti, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in theology in 1995. Since then, Arbentz has faithfully served as an SDA minister in various fields as a senior pastor both in Haiti and in the USA. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Theology, he matriculated at Andrews University Seventh-Day Adventist Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, MI to pursue a Master of Divinity. Along the way, he met his wife Laurie and embarked on a pastoral journey, serving as an intern and assistant pastor at various churches.

Pastor Eddy Guerrier
is a native of Pompano Beach Florida, born to Esthere and Joseph Guerrier. He is a graduate of the illustrious Oakwood University, graduating with a B.A. in ministerial theology and later obtaining a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Chaplaincy. While at Oakwood, during his office as OU Theology Forum President, Pastor Eddy’s conviction for affecting change led him and his team to create scholarships for financially challenged theology students, co-create and produce the distinct OU Theology department logo, and establish a mentorship program between OU students and a local Foster Care facility.
He previously served as one of the Southeastern Conference Campus Pastors for Public Universities in Districts 2, 4, and 5, where they were blessed to grow the campus ministry groups from two campuses to 8 campuses in two years. During his time serving as one of the pastors for Public Universities, Pastor Eddy worked with Southeastern Conference Academies throughout Florida, facilitating bible studies, weeks of prayers, baptisms, and building relationships with Adventist and non-Adventist youth where he is still affectionately known as “Pastor Eddy Spaghetti.”
His ministerial experience includes conducting evangelism campaigns throughout the South Florida area and preaching the gospel in foreign countries such as Jerusalem, Honduras, and Jamaica.
Currently, Pastor Eddy serves as the lead pastor of Zion Hill and Bethel SDA in North Florida, where through the power of the Holy Spirit, communities are being reintroduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is also the Author of his latest book, “Intentional: Living By Design, Not by Default.”
Pastor Eddy is married to the former Stacy Ann Emmanuel, the beat to his heart and he says that they are still honeymoon happy. They have been happily married for over 10 years. In 2019, God expanded the Guerrier family by gifting them with a beautiful baby girl by the name of Summer. Pastor Eddy’s favorite verse is found in 2 Peter 3:9, which states, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
