NEWSLETTER Lieutenant Governor Madison Matice

Lieutenant Governor Greeting Hello Key Clubbers! Welcome to my June Newsletter! It's the final homestretch until school is out! I am very proud of everyone as this school year has been a tough one, but that didn't stop us Key Clubbers!! We kept going to make the world a better place through our service whether that be in person or virtual. I couldn't be more proud! Just a few reminders that MRFs are due the 10th of each month and it's never too late to turn them in. Late paperwork is better than no paperwork. Enjoy the rest of your school year, you got this :) Yours in Service, Madison Matice

Servivce Spotlight Sophia Toscano, Huntington High School Division 3 K-Factor was a huge success this year!! Despite the unforeseen circumstances, we were able to put on a wonderful show and raise a lot of money for a good cause. The money will be donated to Rachel’s Dance for the Cure, a non-profit organization that helps battle childhood cancer. This year, we had the show on two nights, this way we could allow more people to attend. We also live streamed the first night’s performances for anyone who was unable to attend so they wouldn't be left out. K-Factor featured 23 incredible acts, with performances from talented musicians, singers, dancers, and even a karate performance. We are so unbelievably happy that we were still able to do the show this year with it being the 10th anniversary of K-Factor. With the help of our team of teachers, advisors, officers, and administrative assistants, the show ran super smoothly and was enjoyed by all.

Servivce Spotlight Mark Van Deusan, President, Westmoreland High School Division 19 The Westmoreland Key Club hosted a local business gift card raffle for our first fundraiser of the year. We went around asking local businesses to donate gift cards for the event in which the response was high. We wanted to stay local because we wanted to promote their businesses due to the challenges they had to face. As a club we decided to donate all of the proceeds from ticket sales that all club members sold to the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center on Long Island. We raised $960 which was a great accomplishment for our club. It felt great to help our the community and also donate to a great cause. We hope to hold more fundraisers in the future to donate to many other causes.
