Additionally, the skylight feature in the ceiling adds a touch of spaciousness and magnificence to the chalets, creating an ambiance of grandeur The skylight provides stunning views of a beautiful fountain, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the space

With their prime beachfront position, the Type C chalets offer breathtaking, unobstructed views of the sea, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of the coastal landscape Moreover, each chalet boasts a private pool, providing an exclusive oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation

Design Process Development

Concept design

Pre - Schematic design

In the architectural concept, I began thinking of ways to create spaces that are filled with water, as if the power of the sea has been infused into the project However, I encountered several challenges from various aspects For instance, I faced difficulty in properly and directly orienting all the chalets towards the sea, which is one of the key points for a resort that aims to provide direct and beautiful sea views. Additionally, the spaces seemed random and unorganized, requiring a methodical approach to create organized and carefully divided spaces during the schematic phase.

To overcome these challenges, I work on designing innovative and practical solutions. For example, I strategically use building design and facades to achieve optimal orientation of the chalets towards the sea, ensuring delightful views for guests Furthermore, modern architectural design techniques provide opportunities to create organized and thoughtfully divided spaces, where areas can be efficiently distributed to meet the guests' needs and achieve a comfortable and appealing stay.

While adjusting the orientation of the chalets resolved the issue of views, it presented new challenges in realizing the full program To preserve the unobstructed views of the chalets, I had to allocate the central area solely for outdoor spaces, without any structures However, this posed a dilemma in achieving the desired functionality of the project.

Moreover, the rectangular shape of the site imposed limitations on design possibilities, compelling me to adhere to symmetrical arrangements. This constraint hindered my creative freedom and the exploration of alternative layouts that could enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of the resort

Considering these factors, I started contemplating the shape of the land in the postschematic phase By exploring different land formations and configurations, I aimed to break free from the constraints of a rectangular site and introduce innovative design elements that would harmonize with the surroundings, optimize space utilization, and create a visually captivating and functional environment.

Post-Mid design

1- It provided recreational spaces for all chalets at all levels.

2-I dealt with the hotel and chalets in the project in one language so that the project would be more consistent

3- It provided access to the beach for all units

4- I reduced the width of the road and made it for pedestrians only, and customers are delivered to the chalets by golf car.

5-The road behind the units has become the opposite of the previous design, in which the road was in front of the units

6-It provided the greatest possible view of all the hotel facilities and rooms, as well as all the chalets

7-It provides vast walking areas and a wide variety of facilities and spacious spaces in the resort, which gives customers many choices for entertainment and outing

Final design

Schematic Design – Main Floor Plan

During the schematic phase, I started studying and analyzing the distribution of spaces in the hotel and identifying the elements that required significant views However, I faced challenges in distributing these elements due to the shape of the designated building Additionally, there were difficulties in determining the sizes of the spaces according to their desired importance

To overcome these challenges, I adopted a new approach to organizing the spaces and distributing the elements more effectively. Instead of adhering to the predetermined building shape, I began exploring alternative design options that would accommodate the provision of important views for the designated elements. I also paid attention to adjusting the sizes of the spaces based on their desired importance, allowing for a balanced integration of different functions and ensuring a comfortable and appealing experience for the guests.

With this approach, we can improve the distribution of spaces and the arrangement of elements in a more cohesive and harmonious manner, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the guests while enhancing the overall attractiveness of the project

During the midterm design phase, I focused on generating conceptual solutions to create captivating views for a wide range of hotel facilities and rooms To achieve this, I explored a U-shaped design approach that allowed for an expansive pool area while maximizing the potential for breathtaking vistas However, I faced challenges in maintaining visual coherence with the overall project, prompting further refinement during the final stage to ensure better integration and consistency.

Additionally, a significant change was made to the project's circulation plan in the midterm design. As a result, access was relocated to the third floor, leading to the repositioning of the main lobby on that level. Meanwhile, the remaining facilities were situated on the lower levels, aligning with the revised circulation scenario

By implementing these adjustments, we aimed to create an architectural composition that harmoniously blends form and function, optimizes scenic views, and enhances the overall guest experience.

In the final design, I developed it to have an "L" shape, aiming to create a more cohesive project and maximize the number of views for all rooms. It is noticeable in the final design that there was a change in the building's design language, resulting in a smoother and more harmonious appearance in line with the overall project's aesthetics This achieved a complete sense of harmony in the project, which is crucial for better integration among its elements The internal circulation was enhanced, with entry now located on the middle floor, which has become the main floor From there, guests can access the upper floors where the rooms are located, or descend to the lower floor leading to the amenities and other hotel facilities.
