Dear friends in Scouting Greetings from Korea. We are pleased to meet you with this 2nd update for few weeks left for 41st world Scout Conference in Baku. What you think? What should be the critical ingredient to host the successful World Scout Jamboree for our young people? You think, to host the WSJ should be the trial for providing opportunities. It must have a great experience to prepare for such largest gathering. We would like to recall the lord Baden-Powell’s saying “Be prepared...” The meaning of our motto is that a scout must prepare themselves by thinking quickly and ready to act on any accident or emergency so that he/she is never taken by surprise. Be Prepared, is the motto for our movement. World Scouting have educated our young people by values and virtues to make them to be prepared to face any situation and circumstance. To follow our motto “Be prepared”, we the Korea Scout Association is prepared to host the World Scout Jamboree, no doubt we will host the successful World Scout Jamboree. We feel our global approach towards 2023 and also being hosted many International Events, especially World Scout Jamboree of 1991 and World Scout Conference in 2008 – has edge to make 2023wsjKorea the best. To look beyond the hosting of successful World Scout Jamboree, we have an aim to the bigger dream with “Vision 2023”, where transformation of our Scout Movement and opportunities to expand it with larger memberships, to reach unreached & also for Smart Scouting. With this dream and mission Korea like to host the World Scout Jamboree again in 2023. We have strong support from the Jeollabuk-do provincial Government where the jamboree site is located in order to make the jamboree as the moment of harmony with scouts from the all over the world kindly ask for all of scout friends to support Korea to be hosting the 25th World Scout Jamboree in 2023. To make dream come true with variety of ideas from the all over the world, We embrace the young people’s opinions such as program, facilities and anything related to Jamboree for the greatest ever before.
We aim to organize the World Scout Jamboree with young people to make the Youth Engagement a reality. It is not a Korean Scouts, but also qualified scouts from all over the world to become the Global Planning Team (GPT) who will plan the future proposed World Scout Jamboree. Our 12 members of Global Planning Team + 12 from Korean Planning Team are already on the task to make a future World Scout Jamboree for you a life time experience!
On-Jamboree (Painting the Dream) New era of scouting For the New Era of the world Scouting, We will introduce the new paradigm of Scout Method which shall describe to fuse the cutting edge technology and traditional scout methods for 21st century life skills.
Peace for the peninsula Korea is the only one divided country on the earth. 2023 will be the 70th Anniversary of break out of Korean War. To pray for the peace in the world, We offer the Peace march on DMZ (Demilitarized zone).

Infrastructure and Facilities Accessibility The Main entry to Korea will be the Incheon International Airport. Moreover, SaeManGuem International Airport will be ready by 2022 to welcome participants of 25th WSJ in 2023. It would be easy to access from the China which will be connected from China frequently. Only 20 minutes from the SaeManGuem Airport to Jamboree site.

Sustainability For 2023 World Jamboree, we have secured a land of 110,000 square meters which will be used for scouting development continuously. (1st campsite: 50,000 square meters, 2 campsites: 60,000 square meters) There will be an International Scout Center which will be functional on Jamboree site, a leader training center, a jamboree museum, an outdoor program activity hall, and high-adventure facilities. If Korea will host the world jamboree, it will be operated as an international scout center before jamboree start and will be used as Jamboree headquarters

Jamboree Innovation Free Wi-Fi Zone We will provide public Wi-Fi that can be used throughout Jamboree. At present, Korea has a speed of 15Mbps, in 2020, 5G technology will be introduced throughout Korea, and it will be introduced to the jamboree through 20Gbps communication technology.
Smart operating Smart tablets, including an integrated management system, will be introduced to the delegation by applying the latest IC technology in the process of jamboree management &operation. It utilizes the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide intelligent traffic control services to individual participants and leaders through personalized services such as entering and leaving, traffic, and watching games, and signal control to simplify the registration process of the jamboree, Response is possible in case of emergency.
Smart application During the jamboree period, participants can enjoy a convenient jamboree life by Jamboree Application. The GPS-based application can check the number of participants in the course activity in real time, enjoy the activity without waiting, check the usage status of the toilet and shower room, and use it without inconvenience.
In order to facilitate the wider exchange of participants, Jamboree-only SNS will be introduced. In order to realize jamboree without language barrier, automatic interpretationservices will available at all times.
