Fishing the Miracle Mile

In the heart of Wyoming lies the renowned Miracle Mile section of the North Platte River. This 5.5-mile stretch boasts a reputation that precedes it, earning the title of the “Miracle Mile”. Situated between Kortes Dam and Pathfinder Reservoir, its remote location offers a serene backdrop against which anglers can test their skills. But it’s not just the scenery that draws fishermen here; it’s the promise of epic trout. The Mile is a recognized Blue Ribbon trout stream. What truly distinguishes the Miracle Mile is the thrill of feeling the powerful tug on the line as one of its legendary trout takes the bait. These fish are not your average catch; they’re sizable, resilient, and known for putting up a formidable fight. Landing a trout from the Miracle Mile is an achievement revered among serious anglers.

“Place

of Magic Waters”

Saratoga, Wyoming, has a rich history centered around its natural mineral hot springs. The Cheyenne, Ute, and Arapaho tribes were the first to discover the medicinal benefits of the hot springs, naming it the “place of magic waters.”
