Midmonthmadness Competition Winner Chosen
Our winner for the June #midmonthmadness competition has been chosen.

Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK
1decision Education Advisor, Sarah Gammon-Carter, recently took part in Pancreatic Cancer UK’s Walk 60 Miles in June.
Sarah was dedicated to this challenge after sadly losing her dad to the disease 14 years ago. In this time, survival rates for pancreatic cancer still remain under 10%.
We are so proud that Sarah completed the 60 miles and has currently raised an incredible £500, which will go towards vital awareness and funds.

National Read Aloud Challenge
If your school has not yet signed up to the National Read Aloud Challenge, your pupils could be missing out.
The latest update from the challenge shows that children have engaged in over 50,000 reading sessions throughout June and there is still two months to go.

Awareness Days
Resources for World First Aid Day:
At 1decision, we believe in preparing children for all of life’s adventures, big and small. We’ve seen first-hand that engaging PSHE education can teach our young learners the tools and lessons for a happier, healthier and more harmonious life.
First aid is no exception. Interestingly, results from our pupil Personal Development Quiz, show that first aid is an area where confidence and knowledge are particularly low. That’s why we’re focusing on the top ways to teach first aid in primary schools.
Teaching first aid to children is not just showing them how to bandage cuts and scrapes; it’s about creating the knowledge and awareness of responsibility – or rather - ‘response and ability’, which helps to build children’s confidence and selfesteem.
