Preparation
1.Beforeremovingthehydrauliccylindersfromthe FlexWingmower,makesuretheFlexWing mowerisparkedonlevelground.
2.Lowerallthemowerdeckstotheirlowered position.Thiswillrelievethepressureinthe cylindersandallowaccesstothecylinders.
Removal
3.Removethe3/8inbanjobolt,1,andtwo3/8in copperwashers,2,whichattachthehydraulic hose,3,tothecylinder,4.Thenremovethe1/4 inhydraulichosefromthecylinder.
4.RemovetheexternalE25snapring,1,fromthe pin,2.
5.Removethepin,2,fromtherod,3.
6.RemovetheexternalE25snapring,1,fromthe pin,2.
7.Removethespringpin,3,fromthesupport,4. Andthenremovethesprings,5,frombothofthe hooks,6.
8.Removethehook,6,fromthepin,2.
9.Removethepin,2,fromthecylinder,7,byusing ahammerandpunch.
10.Thecylinder,7,cannowberemovedfromthe rearframe.

NOTE: Drainallthehydraulicfluidoutofthecylinder beforetakingitapart.
2.Placetheendofthecylinderinavice,andthen carefullypulltherod,3,outofthecylinder,2.
3.RemovetheM20x1.5nut,4,fromthetopofthe rod,3.
4.RemovetheO-ring,5,andpiston,6,fromtherod, 3.
5.Removethepistonseal,7,fromthepiston,6.
6.Removethecylinderhead,1,fromtherod,3.
7.RemovetheO-ring,8,innerseal,9,andwiper seal,10,fromthecylinderhead,3.

Inspection
1.Cleanandinspectthecylinder,rodand componentsforanywearordamage.Replaceas necessary.
2.Replaceallthesealsduringassembly.
Assembly
1.Installanewwiperseal,1,newinnerseal,2,and anewO-ring,3,tothecylinderhead,4.
NOTE: LubeallsealsandO-ringswithhydraulicoil beforeinstallingthem.
2.Installthecylinderhead,4,ontotherod,5.
3.Installanewpistonseal,6,ontothepiston,7.
4.Slidethepiston,7,ontotherod,5.
5.InstallanewO-ring,8,ontotherod,5.
6.FastentheM20x15nut,9,tothetopoftherod,5.
7.Placethelowerendoftherod,5,inavice.And thentorquetheM20x1.5nut,9,to400N⋅ m (295ft-lbs).
8.Placetheendofthecylinder,10,inavice,and thencarefullyslidetherod,5,downintothe cylinder.
9.Fastenthecylinderhead,4,tothecylinder,10, usingtheadjustablespannerwrench. Special Tool#FNH01889
10.Torquethecylinderheadto170N m(125ft-lbs).

Installation
1.Installthecylinder,1,backontotherearframe.
2.Slidethepin,2,throughthetopofthecylinder,1.
3.Slidethehook,3,ontothepin,2,andsupport,4.
4.Securetheotherhook,3,tothepin,2,withan externalE25snapring,5.Thenreinstallthe springpin,6,tosupport,4.
5.Reattachthesprings,7,tothehooks,3.
6.Slidetherod,1,downoutofthecylinderuntilit linesupwiththemountontherearoftheframe, 2.
7.Securetherod,1,tothemount,2,byslidingthe pin,3,throughtherod,1.
8.Securethepin,3,totherod,1,withanexternal E25snapring,4.
9.Reinstallthe1/4inhydraulichose,1,tothe cylinder,2.Securethehosetothecylinderusing the3/8inbanjobolt,3,andtwo3/8incopper washers,4.
NOTE: Usenewcopperwasherswhensecuringthe hosetothecylinder.
10.Checkthehydraulicoillevelinthetractorand addoilasnecessary.
11.WiththeFlexWingmowerconnectedtothe tractor.RaiseandlowertheFlexWingmower decksseveraltimesuntilalltheairisbledoutof therearcylinder.
12.Oncealltheairisbledoutfromtherearcylinder. TheFlexWingmowerdecksshouldriseupand downsmoothly.
