Photographs associated with the surf club in both digital and print formats should be high quality and reflect all aspects of what we do as an organisation.
Images must be up to standard for the medium they are being published to (i.e., print, social media, web, mobile).
Some key considerations for photographs:
• Official ceremony photographs should display committee members in their red club polo or formal dresswear.
• Nippers should be in full uniform including club or age group skull cap and high - vis rash vest.
• Any photos of members undertaking patrol duties should be shown as adhering to all current uniform policies and SOPs.
A selection of stock images are available in the media and comms SharePoint workspace.
Social Media channels are the biggest asset the club has in being able to disseminate information quickly and to a broad audience.
The channels should be used to provide information that applies to a vast group of people. Content that is targeted at a highly specific demographic or internal communications to members should not be published to social media.
Any photographs published should be high resolution and align with the imagery standards as set out in the guide.
The sizing standards for content is as follows:
• Instagram - 1080 x 1080px
• Facebook - 1080 x 1080px
• Stories and reels - 1080 x 1920px
Graphics templates can be found here
Instagram assets should be text free and display a bright, vibrant, high - resolution photo of the club.
Phone photos should be avoided where possible unless the content is being posted to stories.
Facebook should contain text and infographic type posts should be used. This medium is wider reaching than our Instagram page and so content should be appealing to the broader community who are not necessarily lifesaving oriented.
All content should have a focus on the lifesaving services we provide where applicable and align strongly with guidelines provided by LSV and SLSA in this space.
The background colour to all emails should be white only with no patterns or graphics.
Emails for a large group or entire membership base should be sent from the info@13thbeachslsc.asn.au inbox.
For all body text your email will default to Calibri, Black, Font Size 11.
For external mail, your signature block will be applied automatically by the system.
For special events, a secondary image may appear below your email signature
For formal emails that require a logo, please include the vertical logo (centred) in the body of the email.
These templates are standard and should not be altered in any way aside from the content. All templates can be found here Should you require additional templates, contact the Public Relations Officer or Digital and Communications Manager.
The minutes of a meeting are a record of the items discussed and resolutions made. They do not require a contact salutation or writer’s signature.
This document will continue onto multiple pages and the formatting should continue as required.
Single line spacing is to be used between lines within a paragraph. Double line space is to be used to separate paragraphs.
Sections may be structured by using numbers, letters, dashes or dots. Single spacing after full stops. Communications should be issued using official club letterhead only.
Always consider how the completed letter will look. It should be aesthetically pleasing and appear balanced, not crammed at the top or the bottom of the page.
A memo should be used to distribute information to members internally.
For all external or formal communications, the letterhead template should be used.
PowerPoint presentations are an important part of how we communicate as a club both internally to our members and to external stakeholders.
PowerPoints should aim to be concise in their messaging and not become too cluttered with text or images. They are ideal for displaying charts and graphics.
The template provided should not be altered and used as provided.
Should any variations be required, please contact the Public Relations Officer or Digital and Communications Manager.
Title slide
The title slide should always include the name of the presenter.
Content slides should have a clean appearance without excessive text.
Images should be left justified. Alternatively full slide images with no text is acceptable.
Presentation should close with closing remarks and/or the presenter's details.
