As we look towards our 27th winter season I am proud to be able to introduce you to our new product line up for the coming season. L ATE 80’S SNOWBOARDS Freeriding in the Coast Mountains through the late 80’s inspired Chris Prior to start Prior Snowboard Manufacturing. Alpine racing through the 90’s pushed him to refine manufacturing techniques to meet the performance demands of World Cup winning athletes. An undying passion for fresh turns has fueled the creative shapes of Priors renowned powder line.
1997 SPLITBOARDS Chris Prior cut an MFR in half and attached Voile hardware to it at the persistence of a dedicated local Prior rider. Since then Chris has focused on blurring the distinction in performance between Priors splitboards and solid boards and in process has developed a reputation for manufacturing the most advanced splitboards available. Prior is also home to the largest fleet of splitboards in the market practically guaranteeing they have a splitboard for any rider wanting to venture into the backcountry.

Our 21oz. triaxialy weaved glass is a stitched fabric with glass fibers running in three directions +45, -45, and 0 degrees; it also has 10 carbon pop rods running lengthwise through the fabric and the board. The triaxial material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets.This glass/carbon configuration adds extra pop, weight savings, responsiveness and stability.
Our quadraxial glass/carbon composite is a stitched fabric with fibers running in four directions +30, -30, 0 and +90 degrees. It also contains two 6cm-wide, 10-count carbon pop rods running lengthwise down each half of the splitboard or ski. The quadglass is layered on each side of vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets. This configuration of quad glass creates a responsive, long lasting ride with excellent torsional stability. The additional directional weave creates enhanced torsional stiffness in comparison to the triaxial fibreglass construction.
Prior’s high-performance XCE Carbon Construction brings snowboard tech to the next level. XCE Construction is available as an upgrade on all snowboards and saves an average of 500grams (1lb 3oz). Choose XCE Carbon Construction for the lightest and popiest solid boards in our fleet. This construction utilizes a perfect blend of carbon wrapped around an aspen and maple core creating the most high performance board we have released to date.
XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade on all ski models and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off each pair. Weight reduction continues to be a key to backcountry skiing as less weight means more vertical. Ensuring that there is no decrease in performance with weight savings is often thought of as the Holy Grail for backcountry gear manufacturers and Prior’s XTC Carbon Construction takes a big leap towards that spiritual cup.

The Shotgun is our Twin offering for riders looking for a more playful, freestyle flex & sidecut than the AMF.
The Slaylok utilizes a tighter turning radius, narrower waist and softer, more responsive freestyle flex to allow female riders to have a powerful board but built for their foot size.
The MFR is a classic example of a true, all mountain shape that maintains its role in the line as the workhorse of the fleet.
The Brandywine, Prior’s high performance, directional Freeride board for Women, draws a smooth, stable and fast line through all snow conditions.
