NORDICA’ S HISTORY 1939 Adriano and Oddone Vaccari founded Nordica in Montebelluna, Italy.

The traditional Italian brand Nordica is synonymous for skis and ski boots with uncompromising performance, top quality, passion and consistent innovation. The aim to support every skier’s performance to the best possible extent and to improve individual skiing levels is the basis of every product and every small detail. At the same time, having a good feeling with the products and wearing comfort is a top priority. With its collection, Nordica offers ideal products for all ski enthusiasts – from racing over Allmountain to Freeski. Nordica develops high-tech products for the winter sports market worldwide following the motto “from skiers for skiers”. The input from the close collaboration with Nordica´s top athletes plays an important role here as well, and has been the recipe for success and part of the company history from the very beginning. Nordica belongs to Tecnica Group S.p.A. (Giavera del Montello, Italy), one of the worldwide leading winter sports enterprises.

1950 As one of the first Nordica get’s its inspiration at product development of their Athletes and named the boot Zeno Colò Olympic after the successfull skier. 1963 As the first producer on the skiing market Nordica applies the “buckle” fastening system. 1967 Nordica pioneers the production of boots composed of plastic. 1969 Nordica developes the technology for manufacturing the injection molded ski boot. 1974 Nordica sets up its first affiliate in the United States. Other affiliates open in Austria, Japan, Switzerland, France, and Germany. Nordica accounts for 30 percent of world production. 1999 Nordica’s famed racing R&D creates the famous Dobermann® boot. 2000 Freshly out of the press the first Nordica ski enter the market. 2014 Nordica wins the Brand Man Slalom Ranking thanks to their successful athletes like Felix Neureuther and Fritz Dopfer. 2015 Nordica Dobermann® GP 130 wins ISPO Award. 2016 Nordica introduces Infrared Technology customization boot. Nordica new Speedmachine 130 wins ISPO Golden Award. 2017 Nordica new Strider 130 DYN wins ISPO Award.
