RUN TO THE HILLS Snowboarding has always been about friends and communities sharing the same passion. „Run to the Hills“ has become more than just a claim for us the last year, because we feel that snowboarding has been losing places for the community to come together, as the industry invested more into conversion rates and direct sales strategies rather than into the sport itself. We as Nitro decided that we want to take a different approach by focusing on the snowboard communities. Every dollar we spend will go towards snowboarding, either for the team riders, or new projects and events that allow people to engage and motivate them to go snowboarding. Every event will be different, but the concept is the same - bringing snowboarders together to ride, chill, hangout and strengthen the community. The snowboard market has changed quite a bit over the past years, but we feel that snowboarders haven’t changed. The bottom line is they still want to have a good time with their buddies on the hill, and snowboarding will always be about people and relationships and that´s the reason why we love it! Nitro has probably one of the strongest and most diverse teams out there and we will continue to support them as best we can. They are also an inspiration to us and help us to built better products. This current season we will follow our „Run to the Hills“ campaign and host multiple events every weekend globally. Besides being present on the mountain we want to continue programs for kids and families. We have already invested a lot the past years into events that help kids learn how to snowboard and socialize with other snowboarders for free. We will continue to engage the parents more and more at these events to get them back on board as well. The season 17/18 will be about on hill events, creating communities, team trips, adventures and families. You can be sure that with every product you buy from us the money will be reinvested into snowboarding. Andi Aurhammer Head of Marketing
TOGETHER WE STAND It is very interesting and so much fun to work with so many different people from so many different cultures all over the world. We have more than 30 distributors in 30 countries. We are very proud of the long term relationships with our distributors. Sepp Ardelt, the Co-Founder of Nitro Snowboards has built incredible relationships with these people and always knew how to convince and motivate them. There are a lot of changes in sales and everything is going faster then ever. Many other brands live and die by corporate strategies. I am Swiss and I know that even in this small country you have to think outside the corporate box to succeed, because even here there are four different languages and cultures and it is the same way all over the world. Our strength is for sure that we have the right people in every country, a flexible organization, and a close relationship to our retailers and consumers to understand their needs. This is how we can create products that actually make a real difference for our consumers. At this point I also want to say thank you very much to all of our distributors and retailers.
