SWTOR datacrons are highly sought after artifacts in the Star Wars universe that can significantly boost the abilities of your character. These datacrons are brightly colored objects and are easy to see, but can be tricky to find. Each datacron is also color-coded to signify the different attributes that it gives the player and may also furnish a Matrix Shard, rather than an attribute boost, instead. There are 8 SWTOR datacron types and these are: Blue: Willpower Red: Strength Green: Endurance Light Green: Aim Yellow: Presence Purple: Willpower Orange: Cunning White: Matrix Shard Boosting these attributes can make the powers and abilities of your character more effective against enemy units, including MOBs. However, the real question is where to find these datacrons. At the time of writing this, there are actually 80 SWTOR datacrons to be found, so it would be overkill to list all of 80 locations. But a general rule is that you can find at least 1 SWTOR datacron on every planet. For example, one of the more difficult datacrons to find for Republic players is on Coruscant. There is actually a SWTOR datacron located in the Black Sun territory. To find this, you will have to climb a huge structure of boxes at the following location (X:-3773, Y:132, Z:-1306). Once you reach the top, you will be on a platform overlooking the ground. Walk along the platform until you reach some broken pipes. Jump onto the very first pipe that is broken and run across to the other ledge. Look down and you will see a pipe to jump onto to. Jump onto that and run across to the ledge. After that, follow the pathway until you get to the edge and then jump on top of the sign. Once you get onto the final platform, do a running jump to get to the SWTOR datacron. This datacron will give you +2 endurance.
In stark contrast, one of the simpler datacrons to find for Empire players is on Alderaan. At the location (X:-410, Y:-209), there is a Thranta that hovers above a small nest. All you have to do is to activate the Thranta and it will fly you up to the nest and the datacron can be easily found. The SWTOR datacron itself will reward you with +3 presence. There are some datacron locations, like Hoth, Tatooine and Nar Shadaa that are accessible to both Republic and Empire players. It is just the starting points of the players that can't be accessed by players of the other faction. Also, there are some datacrons that can only be accessed by either Republic or Empire players.
