Multiple-award-winning musical great Thomas Chauke says he will dish up a performance to remember at the upcoming concert at Moretele in Tswane on Sunday. He says his performance will be a way of repaying the faith of those who invited him. The man who in this year’s Samas received the award for the best traditional album has won numerous awards during his illustrious career. He even received a Living Legend Award from Mugana Lonene, which means he can no longer compete in the radio station’s competition. Speaking from his house at Salema, Chauke says that when he was invited to play he felt humbled and told himself that he had to give the best performance ever. “We practised hard, because we would like to leave a lasting impression at the show. To display our culture to such an audience is just like a dream come true.” His plays with his five wives, Joyce, Lucy, Florah, Ethel and Eva, who form the backing band, the Xinyori Sisters.

Students follow the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus until the end of Grade 10, when they write the Cambridge IGCSE exam. This exam is written in more than 160 countries around the world . In Grade 11 students can choose between the Cambridge AS or National Curriculum and write the IEB National Senior Certificate exams or Cambridge AS Exams at the end of Grade 12, preparing them for entry into University. Ridgeway College students not only successfully enter University and other tertiary institutions, but they succeed in this domain What else do we have to offer?

Fully equipped Physics, Chemistry , Biology and Computer labs where students can develop both theoretical and practical skills

All students are tested to ascertain their reading age and a comprehensive reading programme put in place to assist students whose reading ages are below their chronological age

We have a 2 netball court, 2 cricket nets, 2 volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts and 1 tennis court as well as a sports field. The following sports are offered: Netball, Cricket, Soccer (boys and girls), Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Cycling, Yoga, Chess, Choir, Orators, Drama, Electronics Club and crafts All students are expected to participate in at least one sport and one cultural activity.
