The call came from the chairperson of the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) board, Mr Raymond Cele, during the launch of the construction CETA’s community skills development centre at Univen last Wednesday. Cele, accompanied by the CEO of the CETA, Ms Sonja Pi-

Mbati said that Univen took pride in its many community-driven initiatives and programmes.
According to Mbati, the building will be used as lecture venues and workshops for learnership training and a venue for various skills-training programmes for the community, including municipal-based programmes, among other. King Toni to install chief for Rambuda The MEC for Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA), Ms Makoma Makhurupetje, and King Toni Mphephu Ramabulana will install Thovhele Avhatendi Rambuda at Rambuda village on Saturday. Rambuda (22) was born and bred at Dzimauli Village, about 40 kilometres outside Thohoyandou. He is the second-born son of the late Thovhele Azwihangwisi Prince Rambuda and Mufumakadzi Vho-Azwifarwi Alice Rambuda. He matriculated at Tshiwangamatembele
Secondary School in 2010 and obtained a diploma in civil engineering at Tshwane University of Technology. He also received a BSc (Geology and Environmental Management) studies from the University of Johannesburg. He is currently studying towards an LLB degree at the University of Venda. The media liaison officer of COGHSTA, Mr Callies Matlala, said the Rambuda chieftaincy was one of the most influential tribal councils of the Vhavenda Kingdom, situated in the far northern area of the Vhembe
District in Limpopo Province. “The founder of the Rambuda chiefdom (Dzimauli) was Phophi Rambuda, the younger brother of Raluswielo (Tshivhase) and Thohoyandou Ramabulana. Rambuda a hunter, one day crossed the Mutale River and discovered the Vhangona chiefdom of Dzimauli. It was ruled by a female chief, Nyafhasi, also known as Nyafukedzani. It is believed that Nyafhasi was King Thohoyandou’s sister and was placed at Dzimauli by King Thohoyandou. Ramabuda fell in love with the land of Dzimauli and later conquered it,” he added.
