Consequently, our launch of Oakley’s snow apparel website focused on the same merits. With regards to style, we implemented a beautiful parallax-scrolling site, which lets you experience Oakley’s outerwear line by type (apparel, optics), layers (base layer, thermal, soft shell, protection) and weather conditions (blue bird days, dawn patrol, the whiteout). With regards to performance, we closely adhered to the latest web standards in HTML5/CSS development and optimized the site for sequential loading and minimal memory usage. As a result, you can experience the Pro Rider Series in its full glory. Though we are extremely elated and proudly stand by the end results, free skiing legend Seth Morrsion’s words remind us to constantly push the boundaries of our work:
Die neue Oakley Snow-Webseite durfte den Leistungen dieser Athleten natürlich in nichts nachstehen! Die stylische, neue Parallax-Scrolling-Webseite ermöglicht es den Usern, die Oakley Outerwear untergliedert in verschiedenen Kategorien von „Produkt“ (Kleidung, Brillen) über „Lagen“ (Base Layer, Thermal, Soft Shell, Protection) bis hin zu „Wetterbedingungen“ (Blue Bird Days, Dawn Patrol, Whiteout) zu durchforsten. Auch hinsichtlich der Performance ist die HTML5/CSS-Seite auf dem neusten Stand der Technik und wurde für sequentielles Laden und minimalen Speicherbedarf optimiert. Das Ergebnis ist eine Webseite, auf der die Oakley Pro Rider Series ihre volle Pracht entfalten kann. Und obwohl wir extrem stolz auf das Endresultat sind, erinnert uns das Zitat der Freeski-Legende Seth Morrison stets daran, uns nicht auf unseren Lorbeeren auszuruhen:

BeYond reason For the Oakley “Beyond Reason” online campaign we were happy to get our cameras rolling. On occasion of the ITU Kitzbühel, we got together with Olympic triathletes Jan Frodeno (Olympic Gold medalist in 2008) and Javier Gomez (4th place at the 2008 Olympics) and shot a series of videos.
