promoting our brand... We are very proud of the Willis & Gambier brand and have put vast resources - both human and financial - into promoting our company and re-establishing it as a market leader. We have recently produced an outstanding user friendly website, where all our ranges can be easily accessed and viewed online. So if you see a piece of furniture you like, you can view all the additional items within the range in the comfort of your home or office. The web site also offers a local stockist search facility. We promote our brand heavily in the media and have continual consumer and trade advertising campaigns running across a host of titles, some of which are illustrated here. We also support our stockists with instore point of sale material and brochures of all our ranges, all with individual products displayed.
We also invest heavily in our presence at the major Industry exhibitions, including the Interiors NEC show and GMEX in Manchester, with stunning and welcoming exhibition stands, and we always offer fabulous hospitality - just what you would expect from a leading brand.
...and the environment FSC is an independent organization which is dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Through strict guidelines and procedures they enable businesses to produce and supply fully verified products, allowing consumers to identify and purchase timber and forest products that have been produced from well-managed forests. To be FSC certified, Willis & Gambier and our factories have gone through intensive auditing to comply with the complex accreditation. This means that as well as buying FSC timber, our factories are also fully compliant in producing and supplying FSC products. Willis & Gambier customers can have peace of mind in the knowledge that they are purchasing furniture manufactured by a responsible Company, who are sourcing timber from FSC verified sources, adding credibility to Willis & Gambier as a responsible manufacturer.

The Willis & Gambier range of furniture is perfectly suited to 21st century living. Our experienced team of designers and technicians use their expertise, imagination and passion to create traditional and contemporary designs that provide both style and practicality in any setting. Head of design is Lucy Watson. She says “I had always admired Willis & Gambier from afar and I’m glad to to be part of the groups continuing growth, and take advantage of the design development opportunities that W&G have to offer”.

I have worked with Willis & Gambier for over 13 years and have progressed to the technical and design department and one of my responsibilities is supporting the sales and service departments with product and technical specifications.
I have been at Willis & Gambier for over10 years and have progressed to the position of Warehouse Manager. My responsibilities include; overseeing warehouse staff; managing containers; and generally making sure the warehouse runs smoothly.
I started over 2 years ago in sales and service and now work in supply chain management, raising purchase orders with our factories. I also liaise with shipment agents, manage warehouse stock volumes and provide accurate stock information to sales, service and distribution.

WINCHESTER The Winchester collection of dining and occasional furniture is crafted from Birch and Birch veneers with oiled solid Oak detailing and a gently distressed, lacquered paint finish. Crisp and fresh, the pared down Shaker design has been given a contemporary twist to create a range that works well in both modern and traditional settings. The distressed paint finish is achieved through the application of several layers of paint which are then gently aged in places. The hand finishing of each item results in a subtle variation in finish giving each piece its own unique character.

Wood Characteristics
Painted Finishes
Our products have been constructed to the highest standard to ensure quality and longevity. We use a mixture of solid timber and timber veneers in all our products, the solid wood is primarily the frame work or structural if it’s weight bearing. Veneers are the most economical way of utilizing precious wood and can also be used where solid wood movements would not be suitable for the design or structural integrity of the product.
Wood is a natural material and so there will be characteristics within our products that are unique to each individual piece. Distressing, grain detail, colour differences and on some more rustic pieces, natural knotting can be present. Wood is also prone to very slight movements due to climate change. This is perfectly normal and we allow for these movements within our designs.
The hand finishing of each individual item results in a subtle variation in finish between pieces and gives the range unique character. Over time, hairline cracks may appear in the paint finish where there are joints. This is a natural part of the ageing process which occurs on all painted furniture.
