ADVICE TO PREPARE THE HOUSE FOR THE PHOTOS Before the appointment with the photographer takes place, there are a few things you can do to prepare the house for the photo session. But you don’t have to figure that out all by yourself! After photographing thousands of houses, there is enough advice to combine in a styling advice checklist. This way, we would like to make things easier for you!

LIVINGROOM STYLING ADVICE: Remove all items that don’t belong, or don’t add value, in the livingroom. Things like wires, shoes, remotecontrols, mail, etc.
Restructure the bookshelves. Arrange the books on color and/or size. If necessary, remove some books. Between 60% and 80% filling is good.
Remove personal items, like photos, collections and hobby related items.
Don’t put too many items in the window-sill. 75% of the window-sill should be empty. Otherwise the view outside will be obstructed.
OUTDOOR ADVICE: Geen fietsen, vuilnisbakken of zakken voor de woning/tegen de gevel.
Stoep vegen en onkruid weghalen.
Planten snoeien en grasmaaien.
Bij goed weer, kussens in de tuinstoelen.
Haal het verkoopbord tijdelijk weg.
KITCHEN ADVICE: Empty the kitchen counter. Remove kitchen equipment racks and cups.
Don’t put too many items in the window-sill. 75% of the window-sill should be empty.
Remove magnets and sticky notes from the fridge.
BATHROOM ADVICE: Take skin care products and cosmetics out of sight. Also from the the bath tub, shower cabin and the sink.
Choose a closed laundry-basket. Laundry shouldn’t be in sight.
Remove the shower curtain, or provide a new, fresh and neutral copy.
BEDROOM ADVICE: Remove all items that don’t belong, or don’t add value, in the bedroom. Things like scattered clothes, shoes, etc.
Make the bed with neutral bed sheets. You can choose to add extra pillows. By ironing the bed sheets it wil look fresh and neat.
Create a hotel look: luxury, clean and fresh.
