New Year, New Addition
his year has been a big one for Absolutely Mama – and for me. I started 2016 with a 10 month-old daughter and a fledgling magazine. The former is now 22 months old, a curly-headed dynamo fuelled by little more than milk, curiosity and a desire to perform; the latter is now a year old and (I think) one of the most exciting family lifestyle titles in the country. I hope our focus on new ideas in design and style for little ones has inspired you. Of course, minimalist nurseries, ethical baby clothing and handmade wooden toys aren’t the be-all and end-all, but if you’re lucky enough to be able to take a more considered approach to your consumption (and all parents are consumers
to some extent, let’s be honest), I hope we’ve helped to showcase some of the amazing new products and possibilities that are out there – particularly those created by creative, entrepreneurial, independent mamas who have built businesses inspired by their own experiences and families. I’m off to welcome 2017 with another baby – my second daughter, due in January. Until then, have a happy New Year – see you on the other side!
