299 Stehende Figur „ikenga“ Holz, krustierte Opferpatina, zylindrischer armloser Torso, stilisierte Gesichtszüge, bekrönendes Hörnerpaar, min. besch., Risse, kleine Fehlstellen, Abriebspuren, auf Holzsockel; zu jeder Hausgründung wird eine „ikenga“-Figur angefertigt, da sie für Stärke und Schutz steht, beim Tod des Besitzers wird sie wieder zerstört. Wichtigstes Element der Figur sind ihre Hörner, die sich auf den Donnergott beziehen. Die übrige Gestaltung der Figur ist variabel und reicht von naturalistischen Darstellungen bis zu starker Abstraktion.
300 Aufbewahrungsschale für Kolanüsse „okwa oji“ Holz, dunkelbraune, teilweise ölige Patina, Schüsselform mit eingelassenem Deckelbehältnis, rep. (Metallnägel), min. besch., kleine Fehlstellen, leichte Abriebspuren; in diesem Teil Afrikas waren Kolanüsse und Kreide die kulturell wichtigsten Elemente bei Bewirtungs- und rituellen Zeremonien. Deren rote bzw. weiße Farbe assoziiert Macht, weshalb spezielle Behältnisse für ihre Aufbewahrung hergestellt werden.
Standing figure „ikenga“ wood, encrusted sacrificial patina, cylindrical armless torso, stylized facial features, surmounted by a pair of horns, min. dam., cracks, minor missing parts, traces of abrasion, wooden base; an „ikenga“ figure is carved on the occasion of the foundation of a house, because it represents strength and protection. It will be destroyed in case of the owner‘s death. The horns are the most important part of the figure, they are related to the god of thunder. „Ikenga“ figures are formed variable, they can be carved naturalistic or abstract. Cola nut bowl „okwa oji“ wood, partly oily dark brown patina, flat circular bowl with a receptacle in the centre, rep. (nails), min. dam., minor missing parts, slight traces of abrasion; kola nuts and chalk are the most important ritual substances in this part of Africa for both, hospitality and ritual ceremonies. Their red, respective white color awakes powerful associations, and special dishes are sculpted for their containment.
