HOPE... at a period when the world was upside down and everyone feared the worst, Zappos and team Hardy always asked “how high,” how much can we do?... the glass was always half full. The players all worked hard and played hard and the numbers proved it to be a winning formula. Anything is possible. I love working with people that believe “yes, we can.” Good Times.

There are so many ways Zappos impresses their vendors. Without fail, the one work group of employees who always amaze me are the folks that drive the shuttles. I refer to this group as the “ambassadors of rides,” They are always on time, but also this dedicated group of guys and gals are unanimously upbeat, positive and go out of their way to ensure that your first and last contact with Zappos HQ is positive. They are apostles for the brand, stewards for the company, and just all around good guys. On my last visit, when I thanked Zack for giving me a ride to the airport, he replied, “thank you for letting me take you.”

We are now in our eighth year as aof partnernering with Zappos, and the Zappos Culture remains as solid as it was on our first tour of those crazy offices. Earlier this year, when Zappos was hacked, I remember seeing it all over the media and thinking oh man, this is going to be bad. Although business may have been affected in the short term, the way Zappos handled itself was very commendable. As a vendor and as a customer (of course), I immediately received an email from Tony explaining the situation, and how to quickly resolve it. So I resolved it, and spread the word out to friends and family who are also customers. I don’t remember any other companies coming out and being so honest about the situation after being hacked. This just solidified my thoughts about how awesome Zappos is regardless of the circumstance. Open and honest communication – in this case you guys nailed it. It was also great to see how all Zappos employees switched their focus on taking care of customers throughout the whole process, because that’s what it’s all about anyway! Don’t ever lose the focus on your culture; it’s enviable in so many ways.
