If you’re looking to get an iPod for it’s camera capabilities like the iPhone 4, you may want to think twice about it and read on… The iPod camera is not the same as the iPhone 4 camera as shown to the left. Apples reasoning for this was to save space. As you can see, [...]

For Sale: One Brand New NASA Hasselblad

SEP 19, 2010 08:30P.M.

SEP 18, 2010 02:09A.M.

The Worlds’ biggest photography show, Photokina, starts on Tuesday 21st September in Cologne, Germany. Lots of exciting new cameras and photography products will be unveiled in the next few days as the manufacturers finalise their Autumn 2010 ranges. The Photography Blog team will be at Photokina to bring you all the breaking news, stand tours, interviews and hands-on previews, including tomorrow’s Press Day when several manufacturers are making announcements. So make sure to regularly visit Photography Blog this week for all the very latest news from the world of photography.

For a little less than the price of a luxury automobile, you can join the ranks of Neil Armstrong and shoot with this bright yellow, made-forNASA, Hasselblad camera. Included with the camera is a Biogon 38mm lens, special A24 Magazine and viewfinder. While the camera has yet to make the trek into space and back (which is probably for the best), seller “Photo-arsenal-worldwide” claims that it is in fact a NASA-specified camera. Other then the sportscar paintjob, what makes this camera “made-for-NASA” beats me, but hey, it is shiny and yellow.

PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG - NEWS

Hähnel Combi TF

Burtynysky has long been known for his work documenting the impact of the oil industry on natural landscapes. His photography has brought him around the world, shooting pipelines in Canada, oilfields in Azerbaijan, and major highways in Los Angeles.

SEP 15, 2010 02:55P.M.

When the Gulf Coast oil spill first started making headlines, it seemed only appropriate for Burtynysky to photograph it. After all, it is his ability to show magnitude in his images (which are themselves printed large), that makes his work so breathtaking and relevant. His images of the oil spill are no exception, providing an eerie look into something too massive and destructive to truly comprehend. Eight of these photographs will be on display at the Nicholas Metivier Gallery located in Toronto Canada from September 16 to October 9.
