Lake Oswego’s passionate support of the arts is evident throughout the community, whether visiting City Hall, strolling along our sidewalks or visiting one of our local galleries.

Arts Council (artscouncillo.org) – Home of the nationally-recognized Gallery Without Walls program, the Arts Council of Lake Oswego works to ensure that arts are an integral part of life in our community, now and into the future.

Preservation Society (lakeoswegopreservationsociety.org) – The Lake Oswego Preservation Society preserves, protects and advocates for Lake Oswego’s built heritage. Their vision is, “A Lake Oswego that embraces the social, economic and environmental benefi ts of historic preservation.”

Oswego Heritage House (oswegoheritage.org) – A historic resource and focal point for our local history, with a permanent Oswego history exhibit that begins with an introduction to local Native American history and continues to our more current history. Summer Concerts Free concerts include the City’s family-friendly concerts (www.ci.oswego.or.us/ concerts) and Lake Music’s (free with RSVP) Summer Parking Lot Concert Series (lakemusicoregon.com).

Lakewood Theatre Company / Lakewood Center for the Arts –(lakewood-center.org) – Lakewood is an arts institution dedicated to providing arts education, performance and exhibition opportunities to the region.

Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts - (lakewood-center.org/pages/Festival) – Founded in 1963, this annual arts education program is traditionally held at Lakewood Center and George Rogers Park. The festival also hosts smaller events and programming throughout the year.

The BOOKtique is the used bookstore operated by The Friends of The Lake Oswego Public Librar y. Bookstore sales fund librar y cultural programming including Lake Oswego Reads, an annual program designed to bring the community together by inviting participants to read the same book and enjoy a series of events which expand on the book ’s cultural, social and political themes. Lake Oswego Hunt and Equestrian Center – (lakeoswegohunt.com) - Since its formation in 1936, Lake Oswego Hunts’ mission has been to host Equestrian Events for many disciplines of riding, to promote Equine Education, and above all preserve their amazing landmark, on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lake Oswego is home to several galleries where you can enjoy and purchase works of art, including Double Infi nity - Art with a Conscience, the Lawrence Gallery and The Perfect Piece. See the “Art Galleries” section of the Business Classifi eds for more details.
