ello, I’m Yvette and I have been capturing beautiful weddings for over ten years, both here in Kent as well as throughout the South East of England and UK. I have also had the opportunity to photograph some overseas weddings in countries such as Australia, USA, Canada and the Caribbean. For me, photographing a couple’s wedding goes beyond the day itself. It’s about getting to know the couple so that I can capture their day, their way. I like to tell a story with my camera, capturing all the emotions, love and joy between the couple and their family and friends so that they can look back at the images and relive the day over again.

our wedding day is the one day in your life that you want to be photographed at your best, the day you want to shine that bit more… The day that you have thought about since you were a little girl… my job as your wedding photographer is to capture you looking and feeling the most beautiful you have ever felt and immortalise it forever… With over 11 years experience of capturing beautiful weddings, I am still truly honoured when I am asked to photograph a couples wedding day… Although I have won many awards and accolades it’s the joy I get when I see my couples faces when they come to see their wedding images at my studio or handing over their precious album. For me this is why I want to keep photographing beautiful moments and telling the story of your perfect day. YOUR DAY… YOUR WAY… I never forget that it’s your day and that you want to spend time with your family and friends as well as having beautiful imagery… So I always make sure that I include time for you to relax and enjoy the day. So while you enjoy time with your guests, I and my second photographer stand back and take those images that you do not realise are being taken!

am also very aware that everyone involved in your day has a role to play so it is a priority that we hand over on time and as such we work to a schedule that we all agree to ahead of the day.
My aim is to photograph your day in such a way that your images take your breath away each time you look at them for years to come. What o u r c o u pl es s ay. . . We were drawn to Yvette’s work as soon as we saw a sample album… She did not disappoint. The pre-wedding shoot was a fantastic opportunity to meet and get to know each other and understand why Yvette asked us to certain things in front of the camera. The photos were fabulous. On the big day itself, Yvette was so much more than a photographer… Her organisational skills are amazing and she was always on hand at those difficult moments when things were running not quite smoothly. We can honestly say that our experience of the day would have been less pleasurable without Yvette. The photos are stunning and perfectly captured the atmosphere of the day. Why a Pre -w eddi n g Sho ot?
T
he majority of my packages include a complimentary pre wedding shoot, this is a great way to experience what it will feel like on your wedding day and is also the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together away from all the wedding planning… For many couples the pre wedding shoot will also be the first time that they have been photographed together professionally, so I often get asked many questions about what should we wear, when should we book, how soon can we book, do you offer any packages so that we can buy some imagery… PLANNING YOUR SESSION Where does the pre wedding shoot take place? The included pre wedding shoot takes place within the Ashford area, however if you have a special location that you would like to have your shoot such as the beach or your favourite city, other the place you met then please contact the studio for individual pricing. How soon can we book? You can book your pre wedding shoot as soon as you like once your booking is confirmed, I do however recommend that you book at least 9-months prior to the wedding, as many couples find it difficult to find the time to arrange the nearer it gets to the wedding. What shoot we wear? I honestly believe that you can not overdress for your pre wedding shoot, the better you feel in yourself the happy you will be with the finished results. If you have a hair or make-up trail then you could arrange to have the shoot on the same day and then perhaps go on to dinner and really make a day of it - see next page. What day’s do you offer the pre wedding shoots on? The majority of my pre wedding shoots are scheduled Monday to Friday as I have very few Saturdays available and I am closed Sundays. When can we see the photos? I am happy to arrange a morning shoot and then whilst you pop out for a bite of lunch or a coffee I return to my studio and edit the photos, so that you can see them in the afternoon – just let me know at the time of booking if this is something you would like to do?

What to we ar & w h ere to g o ?
F
or your engagement session wear clothes that match your style and personality, that feel like you and that you feel great in.
You are welcome to bring two outfits for each of you. One set can be casual and the other more dressy. Choose clothes and accessories that you feel confidant in and that flatter your unique shape and size. Your engagement session can be a great time to do a trail run with your make up and hair before your wedding day. Having your hair and make-up done can help to boost your confidence. If either of you is planning to wear shoes that are high in style but low in comfort... you might want to consider packing an extra pair with you to wear to and from the car. Most of my pre wedding shoot are shot in and around Ashford, however if you would like to go further a field then see the optional extras page at the back of the booklet. My experience has taught me that selecting locations or activities that are meaningful and important to my couples always results in better images. Depending on the location you choose for your session there may not be a wide selection of places in which to change your outfit, so keep that in mind when choosing what you’ll wear... and what you’ll wear first. There are no rules as to whether you wear your casual or your dressy outfit first... that’s entirely up to you! Interested in a destination session? Let’s go! I love to travel and can work with you to make just about any location work for an engagement session. Whilst no imagery is included in the complimentary included package there is a wide range of options available should you wish to purchase some imagery from ‘Signature Mounts, to Guest Books or even parent gifts at the wedding instead of the traditional flowers.

What to e x pec t?

re-wedding meeting, about 3 months before your wedding day I will send you via email a pre-wedding questionnaire, the purpose of this is so that I can gather as much information about you and your big day, from who’s to what type of group photos you would like taken on the day along with timings. I then put this on a schedule and email it back to you for checking ahead of either a face to face meeting at my studio or a Skype 1:2 chat to go over the day and what to expect.

yself and my team normally arrive with you about 2 hours prior to the ceremony, I will spend my time with the bride and the second photographer will be with the groom and the boys. Depending on the package that you have selected (I offer 5 and 8 hour packages as standard) we will either be with you until around the time you sit down for the wedding breakfast or first dance depending up on what time your day starts. You can extend your coverage beyond the standard package, please see the price-list for full details.

hotographing your wedding is just the start, whilst you are enjoying your honeymoon my team and I select and edit your images so that you can come to a private viewing at the studio upon your return and select the images for your album. You’ll notice I say album. Find our more why I think albums are so important

nvestment in wedding photography is the one element of your wedding that you get to keep and is something that will give you many years of joy. Often a couple will find that their wedding images become more precious as the years roll by. I’m certain you have 1000 photos or more on your phone. You may even have a digital photo frame. But with ever changing technology, where will you store your photos and how will you look at them on your Silver wedding anniversary? Or share with your children when they ask to see what you looked like in your wedding dress? In this digital age, I am asked regularly for disk only packages, for many reasons this makes my heart sink. Ten years ago we were still using floppy disks, now it is CD/ DVD although with more usage of tablets these are becoming obsolete already. You may think you have it covered with a USB stick or cloud. But all of these things are not future-proofed. For this reason, my eight-hour digital package option includes 10 images printed on fine art paper. PRESENTATION I really believe that how your photographs are presented is what defines your finished wedding photography images. Investing in an album will give you the opportunity to constantly relive one of the happiest days of your life, displayed in the best possible way. It takes many hours and a lot of experience to edit the images and design an album, for many people who take a disk only package they end up never producing an album. I often wonder if they ever really get to enjoy their wedding photos on their computer. SMALL & BIJOU WEDDINGS Over the years, I have photographed weddings as small as just two people!
