Enter the conversation with Dr. Mary G. Patton in this exclusive interview: Sherri: Dr. Patton….tell me about your business and why you choose to work with people who have endured emotional trauma. Dr. Patton: I am an Author. Speaker. Consultant…specializing in healing the hurt resulting from past emotional trauma through the application of biblical principles in a therapeutic manner. My decision to work with victims of emotional trauma arose out of a need to assist with issues that my grandson was having in his elementary school. Once I began my research, it became apparent to me that this was a population that appeared to have been grossly in need of service and appeared to have been underserved. I realized that the abused as well as their abusers were in need of healing. That is when I made it my personal mission to intervene on their behalf in an effort to assist both populations in living their best life! Sherri: What are the titles of your books and how will they help people who are in search of healing? Dr. Patton: The title of my first publication is Emotional Trauma in School: Cause, Effect, Cure. This one was inspired by my grandson. It reveals of the reasons and ways that inappropriate teacher behavior affect the overall social, emotional and academic success of students. My second book, titled Therapeutic Application of Biblical Principles for Overcoming Emotional Trauma is the cure that was referred to in the first publication. Both books are enlightening, and curative in that they are designed to uncover residuals of past trauma issues that may still be effecting the quality of an individual’s life.
