How She

Rolls If you sit and listen to Wy talk about her career and her life, you are sure to get a questioning look on her face. The numbers just don’t seem to add up. Did she start working as an infant? The truth is that Wy will turn 70 on May 29th, but looks to be in her late 40’s to early 50’s at best. “My 69 plus years are a blessing,” she says, “so I don’t mind telling my age.” How does she stay looking so youthful? Her day typically begins with 59 minutes on her treadmill while meditating - it keeps her fit. As for her beauty routine, she makes sure to take her makeup off at night and cleanse her face. A willing student, she says she still follows the beauty routine Carolyn Bendall taught her two years ago. Both of Wy’s daughters are cosmetologists; and one takes care of Wy’s hair. Because she lost some of her hair years ago when diagnosed with Lupus, she is very particular about getting her hair done as often as she can. Having her hair done all the time is something she feels is important. Her signature look, a pageboy with youthful bangs, is what she settled on after experimenting with a few other looks. Wy’s beauty is enhanced by her calm and serene demeaner. A person who loves to read, she says that, at any given time, she has five to seven devotional books open. It is how she stays relaxed and in a peaceful state of mind.
