Our History Defines our Success

For over 50 years the staff at PCS

has passionately provided Christian education in academics, fine arts, athletics and special needs to students from over 90 churches that comprise our community. The strategic planning process brought the community together to lay out our plans for the next five years in our continued pursuit of excellence in everything we do.

Christian Education Is Worth It Schools must equip students to meet current and future challenges. Having surveyed thousands of Canadian school graduates aged 23-39, The Cardus Education Survey 2012 Report determined that Christian education graduates are more spiritually formed, family oriented and actively involved in community and volunteer work. PCS values these qualities and instills them in our students as they prepare for the future.

CONTEXT

Education is Changing

The provincial

curriculum is moving toward more flexible, personalized learning, providing schools with more choice in shaping their learning environments.

Maximizing Resources Excellence in programs, facilities and operations is a priority for PCS. Investing in these resources supports the current community and attracts new families.

A Shared Vision

We have thoughtfully considered

our context and have outlined a plan that builds on our strengths and successes, giving us the power of a shared vision and clear purpose.

implement at the discretion of the Superintendent Team and Finance Committee.

4.

Begin PCS community discussions to review and consider revising our current

enrolment policy.

12

NEXT STEPS A strategic plan is like the cover of a puzzle box. It illustrates a vision and outlines the goals and strategies to build it. However, the real work begins with implementation. The planning phase outlines the yearly actions required, when and by whom. This work is led primarily by the Superintendent Team with the support of the Board of Directors and committees, and draws on the expertise and enthusiasm of our staff and members. There is power in a shared vision. Join us where you feel called to lend your expertise and enthusiasm. Progress toward our goals will be monitored and measured. We look forward to celebrating the results with our community and members.
