Do you know about the Longboat Key Foundation? It is an all volunteer organization helping identify and pursue initiatives to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors to our island community. Did you know that its first project was to bring primary care medical services back to the island so that you do not have to leave Longboat if you need a doctor? The doctors’ office, and a neurology practice specializing in brain health, and also a physical therapist have opened their practices to serve the people of Longboat and their visitors at 5370 Gulf of Mexico Drive (the Centre Shops) on the second floor.

Per Resolution 2010-17, the Town Commission wishes to have members of the community appointed to serve on ad hoc committees. The Town Commission has the discretion to solicit volunteers outside of the application process. Applications are available at the Office of the Town Clerk or can be downloaded from the Town’s website at www.longboatkey.org.
