Last of the Berlinetta Boxers 1982 Ferrari BB 512i

OUT OF THIS WORLD

The last in the series of Berlinetta Boxer’s from Ferrari, just 1,007 examples of the BB 512i were produced from 1981 through to 1984. The BB series saw Ferrari bring a mid-mounted flat-12 engine, replacing the FR layout Daytona, which was succeeded in the Ferrari stable by the Testarossa. The cars were designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and the Boxer was the very first mid-engined road-car to bear the Ferrari name. Packing a 4.9-litre F12, the 512i produced 340PS and 451Nm of torque pushing the car from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 160. This car was delivered new in Germany in 1982 then subsequently registered in Spain from 2003 circa 2009. A left hand drive model finished in a very attractive colour combination of metallic grey with magnolia leather interior. Showing 60,000 kms on the clock, it has the original service book stamped with photographs of recent restoration work. Original owners wallet, handbook, full tool set - in the case - and Ferrari Classiche certificate book are all present.
