What’s Love Got To Do With It? by Hull-based Non Applicables explores the realms of love and all its possibilities and pitfalls. Mingle through the dating circuit in a series of fragmented experiences and light-hearted episodes that observe social etiquette, online profiles and the fundamental rules of dating. Joelene English’s February 11th 1963 is a poignant evocation of the last days of Sylvia Plath’s life, and an exploration of her relationship with Ted Hughes. Daniela B Larsen & Robert Guy’s This House Smells of Ghosts has been described by critics as “startling athletic choreography” with “nonchalant, raw execution.” Tamsyn Russell’s ID Me features three female performers investigating hidden identities. Exposing thoughts and images rarely expressed yet deeply embodied in movement memory, they explore the question: “Is this really who we are or just a glimpse of a corner of our minds?” See also pages 34 and 64.
