DAY 6 - MURANO, BURANO, AND TORCELLO DAY TRIP
Take to the water today with a cruise up the Grand Canal, to the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello. First with the help of your local guide visit Murano and watch the master glass blowers blow and shape the glass and furnace, as they have been doing since the 10th Century. Next, it’s onto the picturesque Fisherman’s Island that is Burano - famed for its vibrantly coloured buildings and the delicate lace produced by the local ladies. Then, take the short boat ride to Torcello - one of the first of Venice’s islands to be inhabited. Here you can visit the fascinating 7th Century Basilica - one of the most ancient buildings of all Venice, and home to some of the earliest mosaics in the region. DAY 3 - FLORENCE
Following breakfast make your way to the station for your high-speed train to Florence. It is an early start today but so very worth it as you are driven to Pisa for some free time to admire the unmistakable leaning Tower for the obligatory photo, then onto a winery on the slopes of San Gimignano for a typically Tuscan lunch and wine tasting. DAY 3 – FLORENCE
A full day of sightseeing lies ahead today with a small group morning tour led by a local is a brilliant way to learn the vast history of this ancient city. DAY 1 - DELHI
Arrive at Delhi International Airport and your representative will meet you in the arrival area. Depart for your hotel in a private transfer where you will check in for your stay. India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern.
DAY 2 - NEW DELHI
After breakfast, proceed for the full day city tour of Old & New Delhi including a visit to the 17th century Jama Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk. Also stop in front of the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort, the Red Fort for a photo stop. In the afternoon you proceed to New Delhi where you will be taken for the Drive past of The Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys. Also visit the 16th century Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Later, proceed for a city tour including visits to Prince of Wales Museum and Mani Bhawan (Gandhi’s Bombay home)
DAY 3 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD THE MAHARAJAS’ EXPRESS
Today after breakfast, your representative will meet you in the lobby area of the hotel. They will be assisting you and will transfer you to Safdarjung railway station where you will Board, The Maharajas’ Express - Treasures of India.
Enjoy brunch on board as you arrive into Agra. As you reach the ‘City of Mughal Splendour’, visit the world famous Taj Mahal (one of the Seven Wonders of the World), this incomparable marvel is constructed entirely out of white marble and is an architectural masterpiece with beautiful inlay work and marble screens.
DAY 4 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD THE MAHARAJAS’ EXPRESS
Early this morning, disembark to visit the exquisite Agra Fort. Later, enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board as you travel to your next destination Ranthambore. Lunch shall be served onboard. Arrive into Ranthambore and proceed for an exciting game drive in the Ranthambore National Park. Originally the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambore was declared a National Park in 1973. The Park is famous for its open sightings of tigers, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bear, hyena, jackal and leopard.

DAY 1 - MUMBAI
Arrive at Mumbai International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by a representative. Transfer to your hotel and check in. Spend the evening at leisure in Mumbai, India’s bustling economic powerhouse.
DAY 2 - MUMBAI
After breakfast, visit the Elephanta Caves (closed on Mondays/monsoons) by ferry from the Gateway of India. DAY 5 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD

Breakfast and Lunch are served onboard, before pulling into Kimberly. Hop off for a tour including a visit to the Diamond Mine Museum, and the monumental Big Hole, then it’s back onboard for tea, and dinner en route to Klerksdorop.
DAY 6 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD ROVOS RAIL – PRETORIA
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard, then a city tour of Pretoria, and a wonderful lunch served on the Rovos Rail Station platform. Following a tour of the locomotive workshop, the train departs for Zeerust, and dinner is enjoyed onboard.
DAY 7 - MADIKWE GAME RESERVE
Following a relaxing morning, the train stops, and you will be transferred to the fabulous Madikwe game lodge for a two-night stay on Terra-firma. Following lunch head out on the first of your four game drives and be amazed at the sheer volume of wildlife, all accessible in their natural habitat. This is prime Big 5 territory, so make sure your cameras are fully charged!
DAY 8 - MADIKWE GAME RESERVE
Today is all about the wildlife and get out nice and early today for a morning game drive. Breakfast and lunch are both served back at the lodge, and then another game drive before a casual dinner.
DAY 9 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD ROVOS RAIL – BOTSWANA
One final game drive this morning, before a transfer to the train at Gaborone in Botswana. After the formal border crossing lunch is enjoyed as the train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn and skirts the cast Kalahari Basin.
DAY 10 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD ROVOS RAIL – ZIMBABWE
Experience a leisurely day aboard the train as it traverses Botswana. Enjoy informative lectures throughout the journey and remember to book any desired activities for Victoria Falls before lunch. In the afternoon, the train will pass through Gwaai and Dete, traveling along a remarkable 114km straight railway line along the eastern edge of Hwange National Park.
DAY 11 - ROVOS RAIL – VICTORIA FALLS
Upon arrival at Victoria Falls around lunchtime, you will be escorted to the exquisite Victoria Falls Hotel. After check-in, enjoy a welcome address on the hotel’s scenic lawn, followed by a delightful lunch at Jungle Junction. In the afternoon, embark on a river cruise as the sun sets, before returning to the hotel for dinner.
