AMAKRWALA When Photographer Unam Ntantala and co-creator first began blogging about their Xhosa heritage. They set out to base it in the Eastern Cape because they wanted it to be appealing to come from the homelands and villages of South Africa. However, as time went by the dynamic duo realised that the dream wasn't as practical and realistic as it sounds. This moved them to try and come up with a way to bring their brand to the city (Johannesburg) without losing the story wanted to tell, and this is the first result..

unbothered. Mohau Ngubeni also known as “DougieFresh” is a selftaught graphic designer turned co-founder of new Soweto streetwear line Unbothered Clothing. The young designer who paid his dues at one of Soweto's most recognizable streetwear brand “THESIS”. Mohau has always dreamt of having my own brand with the aspiration of bringing something new to the clothing scene in Soweto. Unbothered is poised to Make Soweto Great again setting it’s sites on brands such as 2Bop and Sol-Sol who have in recent years seen international success and have been featured in Highsnobiety and Hypebeast. The latest Unbothered collection features the brands most hyped signature T-shirt which draws it’s influence from the young designers iconic “Phiri & Mapetla & Zola & Mdeni” graphic T-Shirt and parallels it with a social media hashtag phrase “Makunyiwe Once”. Our favourite from the streetwear line is their Lazy Olympics T-Shirt which is destined to carve a new lane for the casual wear scene. The collections features men’s and women’s variations of a clean yet striking and bold graphic Tee that sports the Olympic rings and yet another pop culture reference of an icecream similar that of Gucci Manes face tattoo.

Honestly, at first, I'd imagined the title as a genre to classify the songs at the time but after a while, it turned out to be a mood more than anything. Pretty much a trip through my headspace. Some days cloudy, some days sunny - somehow I found balance between the two and it made perfect sense to pull this off" - Solve The Problem

SINGLE: TXI ARTIST:Lay Lizzy LABEL: Geobek Entertainment RELEASE DATE: 15 December 2017

LISTEN ON SOUNDCLOUD

With a new image and alias Young Nino Brown, Laylizzy drops a new single titled “Txi” building up to the highly anticipated release of his EP in 2018 as well as his show, the Young Nino Live Concert. Sending out dope vibes to the streets of Africa and revealing a new image, Laylizzy drops a new single titled, “Txi” which translates to money in the Mozambican street slang. The single release is a pathway for his much anticipated project, his forthcoming EP which is set to be released in the first quarter of 2018. Taking his day ones down memory lane while simultaneously accommodating his new fans, Laylizzy will be performing his old and new hits live at the Young Nino Concert in Mozambique on Friday, the 15th of December.
