You have such a great and unique fashion sense. Did you always feel confident going against the mainstream?
Dressing up has always been a huge part of who I am. I had some great mentors: my mom, my grandma, and my aunt. They all have amazing style and often made their own clothes, and mine when I was a kid. I remember when I started at MR, my main source of inspiration was Bowie. I showed up with a Ziggy Stardust haircut, wearing an amazing blue leather jacket I wish I still had. I had started making my party clothes myself, with my grandmother’s help.
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
I’ve had some amazing moments that have made me incredibly happy. They’ve often been while dressing women who inspire me and whom I admire. Some of my favourite musicians and artists are definitely at the top of the list. Watching Björk play in my light dress in London was amazing. Getting images sent from Laufey, CMAT, Ashley Graham, Venus Williams, Raye, and so many more has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

My student years at Listaháskólinn were some of my more “brave” choices… We had teachers who encouraged us to show up in leather or in a corset, wear all sorts of colours and silhouettes, so we knew how it felt, which I think is an amazing way to study. I used to work as a stylist/costume designer for Sylvia Nótt; she wore a lot of my personal collection at the time, which probably shows how playful my style was then.
I’m also very proud that my work resonates with women of all shapes and sizes. Being able to create pieces that make women feel confident is something I never take for granted.
But I have to say, dressing my inner circle, my mom, my grandmother, my best friends, coworkers, and my daughter has been just as meaningful and has made me feel so blessed to have these people around me.
Do you have any favourite Christmas traditions? How will you be spending the holiday season this year?
The holiday season has always been my favourite time of year. My birthday is in December, and I love working in the store during this time. Helping people find the perfect Christ mas presents is such a joy. I also love seeing friends and family and catching up with people I haven’t met in years.

Yes! I love getting something new to celebrate the New Year. It’s the one time of year I really go all out with sparkles, makeup, feathers, glitter. I just have fun with it.
What are your New Year’s goals and resolutions for the coming year?
2026 is going to be my concert year! I want to travel more and see some of my favourite musicians.

Actor BERGLIND
What projects are you working on now? Anything exciting coming up?
I am currently acting in several exciting and varied productions at the Reykjavík City Theatre. I play the role of Ophelia in Hamlet , and alongside that I also perform in the comedy show Þetta er Laddi , so I definitely get the best of both worlds. I am now starting rehearsals for the musical The Wizard of Oz , in which I will be playing the role of the good witch Glinda, and I am really excited for that!
Where do you seek inspiration when getting dressed?
I seek inspiration all around! Both from people around me and also on social media. I love picking up bits and pieces and discovering my own unique style.

Do you have any special Christmas traditions? What are you looking forward to this holiday?
To me, Christmas is a time to unwind and relax in a cozy atmosphere with loved ones. So I can’t wait to light my scented candles and watch my holiday classics. I always do a Harry Potter marathon, so it’s almost time for me to fill a bowl with treats and start watching!
Do you have any goals and resolutions for the new year?
Yes, definitely! I always make a vision board for each year that includes both major and minor goals. They all focus on things that make me happy and help me continue becoming the best version of myself. My goals are always related to my mental and physical well-being, my work, and my family and loved ones. Next year, I want to continue focusing on my acting journey, make my new apartment cute, and set personal gym and running goals!

What exciting projects are you working on now?
I just had my first exhibition showcasing my ceramic artwork, which was so much fun and went super well! Now i’m just working on making more pieces for 2026!

I looove a big coat that is stylish so you can wear something warm and cozy underneath.
How will you be spending the Holiday season? Do you have any special Christmas traditions?
I just love to spend time with family and friends, make cookies, drink hot chocolate, watch christmas movies and stroll through downtown Reykjavík.
