Introduction
About YDS Since 1927 YDS have been in the footwear business, initially being very strong in manufacturing military and police footwear. In fact today YDS is Europe’s largest manufacturer of police and military footwear producing over 10,000 boots and shoes every day. The development of injection soling method and especially Dual Density Rubber for hazardous working conditions, provides a strong and resilient base for footwear in the emergency services sector. Looking at tests such as upper and sole bond strength and the abrasion resistance of the sole, YDS Boots show resilience in abundance.
Technology that matters The concept of quality and reliability runs through the heart of the business with an independent SATRA accredited testing laboratory situated on site at its factory and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TS18001 certification to maintain excellent quality systems. YDS footwear is tested to the limits to ensure they are fit to protect personnel in any given situation and environment. They surpass European standards and are tested to worldwide standards where required.

In the selection of quality leathers, textiles, components and in the skilled production of its own blended sole material, shows the desire for consistent quality, never to compromise. YDS and their chosen technology brands reflect in each other the quality and durability required for footwear at this level of hazard.

1st layer: Blue non-woven top layer made of 100% polyamide fibres and is highly abrasion resistant both wet and dry.
2nd layer: Black PU air permeable foam with open cell construction. It is of high density for good cushioning support. 3rd layer: Flat bottom layer which includes 30% viscose, giving extra moisture absorption and desorption properties to the footbed. It is washable at 30˚C.
