DR. DHUN NORIA Chief of Laboratory Medicine and Medical Director, The Scarborough Hospital, Ontario always extended their good fortune to family, friends, friends of friends and even strangers. On 17th March, 2014, Dr. Dhun and Farokh Noria gave $1 million donation to The Scarborough Hospital Foundation. The cheque was presented at a special reception hosted by the Foundation. In honour of their generous donation, the laboratories at both campuses have been dedicated to the family and named the Farokh and Dhun Noria Laboratory.

Dr. Noria is also the recipient of several awards. A few of them are: ‘Professional Woman of the Year’ Award from the Federation of North American Zoroastrian Organization in the United States, 2004, as also the ‘Business Woman of the year’ award from the Indo-Canada

Chamber of Commerce the same year; The Hind Ratan Award, India, 2005; the Nav Rattan Award, India, 2008. She was appointed to the Toronto Police Services Board by the Premier of Ontario and the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario in 2011 and was inducted into the ‘Scarborough Walk of Fame’ the same year. In March 2012, she received the ‘President’s Award’ from the Ontario Medical Association, an organisation of 27,000 physicians and the same year ‘Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Medal’ for significant contribution and achievement by an outstanding Canadian. On 10th May 2014, she received the ‘Global Lifetime Achievement’ Award from The Scarborough Hospital in Toronto.
