YS INHOUSE BADMINTON COMPETITION

The Yayasan Sabah In-house Badminton which was held from November 25-28 drew 110 shuttlers who competed in the various Men, Ladies and Mixed categories at the YS Sports Centre.

Ismail Ismani, Deputy Group Manager of Transportation Division presented the cash prizes to the winners after the finals on November 28.

YS INHOUSE CHESS COMPETITION

The Chess Champion title goes to Lee Tze Jim once again this year. The competition, played over four days from December 25-28, 1996 attracted 12 competitors.

YS JUARA LIGA , . MIZUNO'·

Skuad bolasepak YS muncul juara Kejohanan Liga Mizuno apabila berjaya menewaskan Decojaya, yang dibarisi oleh bekas pemain kebangsaan Hassan Sani, 1o dalam perlawanan akh.i.r pada 24 November lalu.

Atas kejayaan tersebut, para pemain diraikan dalam satu majlis makan mal am pada 12 Disember.

Penguruspasukan, WahiminJmimeyampaikan piala kejuaraan kepada Pengurus Kumpulan Bahagian Perkhidmatan Korporat, Kamis A wang Ali.

Nine members of the YS Secretaries Club, led by president, Rosmawati Lasuki took part in a community project at Kg. Bambangan, Kota Marudu on November 15. The group was accompanied by two personnel from the Paramedic Unit.

Twenty seven children from the village were in volved in the project. . They received lice prevention treatments as well as haircuts. The club also donated toys, books on educational health care, water containers and clothings to the . villagers.

YAYASANSABAHINHOUSE GOLF BONANZA

The YS Inhouse Golf Bonanza was played at Keningau Golf Club on December 5-6, 1996. The two day competition attracted some 30 golfers and was played on fine weather.

Despite the good condition of the course but slow greens, only one golfer managed to play under par (nett). James Wong, playing off handicap nine shot 71 on the first day followed by a 72 on the final day. His two-day total of 143 landed him the Overall Nett title by five strokes from Vincent Gadalon (14) who returned with a score of 76 and 72. The Overall Gross Event was won by Sernion Lalung with a two-day total of 172 followed by Joanes Tinggal on 173. In the A medal, Ejrush Dalinting captured first place on 151 nett, whilst Dos Panggal emerged winner in the B medal on 15f .'. Zainurin Sahat shot 155 nett to win II medal.
