New CODE Building Responsible for Designing a CCC building: The Center of Design and Engineering, which we have and will continue to refer to as CODE. This center will be approximately 6500 sq.m. and will include classrooms, an auditorium, cafeteria, exhibition spaces and other architecture school amenities as well as studios that can be rented out to design firms. You must execute this design with the expectation that the form you create will be filled by another program in the future.

Locating on a prime real estate area – Sukhumvit Road between Ekamai and Thong Lo BTS station, responsible for two programs, situated within one architecture, on one site The site of the 11 story building next to the UNESCO building and National Space Museum, over two periods of time: now and the future.

“A Community that thrives on the essence of space on the ground in the sky and can still communicates and interacts with other members of the society.”

Project 3

National Space Museum As a part of the attempt to revitalize the existing museum, this studio proposes an expansion to the existing Science museum and a replacement of the desolated planetarium in a new building of ‘National Space Museum.’ The new addendum is going to house the new planetarium, permanent exhibition space, temporary exhibition space, an auditorium, a museum shop, together with other supporting facilities.

Locating on a prime real estate area – Sukhumvit Road between Ekamai and Thong Lo BTS station, the center is threaten by the possibility of becoming irrelevant, or to put it harshly, ‘extinct’. With its underwhelming exhibitions and plunging visitors, the National Science Center for Education is facing an ‘adapt or die’ scenario.

Concept : Center of beginning the universe. Strating point to new things as much.

E Jupiter

The solar system is made up of terrestrial planets, jovian planets. As well, there is the Asteroid belt and the Kuiper belt. The terrestrial planets are the four planets closest to the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. The jovian planets are the four that are further away from Earth – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Creating Space

CONCEPT :

PLANE & VOLUME

To use plane and volume to design a space to suit the condition of the selected site. The primary element of the concept is the large in door space which is being left quite unused. Therefore I prefer to create space for activities that divides into 3 zones.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Portable school The 4th/5th year architecture studio began in june 2008 and end in octerber with the presentation of schematic design from each of the 12 student including a volunteer international student from the development &Emergency practice MA programme for design which would meet the expressed and observed needs. The end result of the studio was a community-approved set of schematic drawing for the multi-purpose centre At first construction install in BKT campus before move it into the Samut Prakan site. Which started with double bamboo in each column so the foundation problem is not strong enough.

Visit the site to analyze the information.

KMUTT students reviewed alternative models of the school with children and adults in the camp. Based on their comments and drawings, changes were incorporated.

Let’s build. The first experimental building for practice the worker who came from the camp surrounding.

FLOOR PLAN

This day has been put the column already. Then putting the beam and joint on first floor.

A survey was taken in the camp in order to understand current issues and needs. Ideas were shared with both adults and children residents and, in one session, the children drew their dream school. Of course with all of these ideas and information, interpretation was also important. What do we do with this information? How do we interpret it? How does it translate into a programme?

Why bamboo? : easy to looking for : inexpensice : can be install without high technology : comfortable and lifestyle : That mean the worker can understand the material and installation and ready to install within 12 week.

Design Build

This project is continuing from creating space project. The metal interior framing is able to be disconnected from one another, and separated into three different parts in order to provide for easier transportation of the construction. C-line were added on to the frame to create the conceptual size desired. The wood surfaced floors and seats are removable, also for convenience of transportation. The finished outcome is covered with viva boards.
